Everytime I listen to The Carpenters all I can think of is Karen Carpenter having - and dying - of anorexia. When I watch Manic Street Preachers in interviews, Richey - the missing and now considered deceased band member - is always mentioned. When INXS is mentioned, they always go on about Michael Hutchence's death. I wish they'd focus on the MUSIC and not the band members struggles.
Of course, what happened to these musicians is real but I'd like interviews based more on the actual music.

One of my pet hates in life are these interviews in which various people rabbit on about where they were and their perception of things that happened intermixed with thirty seconds or similar short clips of music. I just avoid them like the plague as I find them worse than straight interviews. There seem to be so many hangers on, although I don't blame them for trying to make a crust.

Weird post I am about to write: I am sick and tired of Cyndi Lauper's song "Girls Just Want To Have Fun". It has been decades and decades since that song was released. It's great but it has had its time. Plus, Cyndi Lauper has released a good 4 or 6 albums by now: I should know because I am a Cyndi Lauper fan.
To the radio stations: find a different Cyndi Lauper song and not just "Time After Time" or "True Colors"*.

Candy, your complaining of the radio stations playing only one or two of Cyndi Lauper's songs reminded me of when I got sick of hearing Guns N' Roses' Sweet Child O' Mine on my way to and from work every day...and almost every other time I was in the car.
The 80's, like any other decade, had a lot of great music...I looooove '80's music! I wish Sirius XM's '80's on 8 would have realized there was more to that decade than that one song from Guns N' Roses.

We have a radio station called Greatest Hits. They play the same ones....
I never really listened to her other than whatever came onto the radio... but this video had a vibe like the music videos back when I was a teenager. The lyrics are.. meh lol but I guess it's catchy.. not really my thing.

I totally see your point, TestDummyCO: I also love 80's music BUT there were so many underated songs. Those are the songs that need recognition.
Because there is such great music out there. And I urge any radio station to take advantage of that.
Also: I often play Glory Box on YouTube: I cannot get enough. Their album "Dummy" is an album I shall also listen to online.
