Actually The Ramones started in 1974 and The Pistols in '75. My favourite story concerning the S-Pistols involved The Who. The Who had a concert in the mid-70's and Sid and the boys were in the front row ragging on them and shouting insults. Townshend grew weary of that so he grabbed the mike, walked to the edge of the stage, pointed at them and yelled "who the f**k are you!". If you listen to the long version of "Who Are You", they put that into their song. I love The Who!
