The clothes and shoes thread.

Clothes and shoes, the winter ones what do you do? I have suit hangers that I zip up the winter coats in and I move things around, winter shirts and long jeans now go into a different area in a storage bag while the summer clothes now come to the front of the wardrobe my winter shoes are polished and put on their shelf and my summer shoes have been inspected and put out ready to wear . Ive even got my summer handbag ready..

As I do this any clothes that look tatty or I dont like get either relegated to work wear or donated, then I add their replacement to my 'to do list'

I rotate, in that I have two wardrobes. I choose from the second wardrobe. I return that to the 1st wardrobe on the far right of it, after it has been worn. I then take the far left item from the first wardrobe, and move it to the second.

Thus, anything on the far left of the second wardrobe is up for debate, as to whether it stays, gets sold, or donated.

Nothing gets binned as even worn out stuff is sold by charity shops for recycling.

Another 'spot the no longer wanted item, is to always turn hangers so they point at you. When you wear something always reverse the hanger. At the end of the year, every hanger pointing at you needs a review, as to whether it is really needed.

Cherry, I love this idea and am going to give it a try. I have so many things in my closet that I am not sure when of if I have even worn them. 

I've been watching some videos on the history of fashion. True what they say, "anything old can be new again". That is, even from the paleolithic surprisingly.

Raquel's costume might fit Leah's Jabba the Hut scene just as well.

It's a serious thriller with a lot of inter social structures. All done very tongue in cheek.

The school starts to prepare for the Mother's Fashion show in October. I have been asked to be on the judging panel. My husband does not mind walking around munching on passed hors d'oeuvres and sipping champagne:"

I am sure. Then comes the Golden Bells, the most exciting fundraising event of the year. I looked at the donation list, someone donated 10 days vacation for two in Cannes, the package will have a starting auction price of $25K.

I certainly have no idea!

They just want to look good in front of "The Joneses." I've always thought, "Who the heck are the Joneses, and why do I want to keep up with them?!"

It's all too common for people to give to charity to look good and impress people. Like "I must be a nice person to give £10 to charity today." It is like someone nasty saying "Look how nice I am." I certainly hope they are now nice because they've had the fear of God put in them.

Narcissists are known to host big charity parties, just to look good. Deep down they care nothing for those in need.
