No need to apologize! I apologize for bringing it up honestly. The using a Christian name thing caught me off guard (I've never seen it requested anywhere else lol), and I thought that explaining why I prefer a unisex/masculine name, on a women's forum, was necessary. I likely just don't fit in here, which is okay. I recorded a video to properly introduce myself. imgur.com/a/0aTq4M8 ...be warned, I am likely different from everyone here!
Cute...you have a great laugh
☺ thanks! That other forum dislikes butches like me but I've remained proud to be myself wherever I am.
Something one has to understand about me is that I don't know much about these things and I have a curious mind. I apologize.

Hey Noble, sorry for freaking you out, a little. We just feel that using christian names make the forum a little warmer.
Oh, and thanks for the warning, but we like 'different' on here, it makes the chat that bit more interesting.

The video was a brave choice. Respect.
I understand! I apologize for the misunderstanding/commotion. This seems like a peaceful space, and I didn't intend to disrupt that.
And although I am shy, I'm confident in proving I am who I say I am especially in a safe space such as this. Thanks for allowing me to be here. 🙌

Yes you do, you will always be welcome here and I loved your video. ❤️
Hello. I'm a 37-year-old, American (from the Southeast) lesbian who is currently unemployed and bored out of my mind. I joined Reddit in early 2019 which was a huge mistake because it's not women-friendly. I've been searching for online women communities since Thanksgiving. Seems to be hard to find any, especially if you're a woman who is childfree and unmarried and gay. Hopefully, this place will be my new online home. Happy Holidays! 💜
Hey, welcome, thanks for joining us, look forward to hearing more about you.
Welcome in, Noble! Btw, my aunt's name is Lisa, so I will say both are great names, but it is whatever you prefer!
I can relate to some of what you mentioned. I am not a fan of gender roles or having to live up to certain expectations and stereotypes. I think we should all just be ourselves instead of being what others want us to be. I don't like to really do my hair or make up.. nor do I really wear dresses or heels... I hate shaving, but I do it anyway (not as much as my SO would like). People used to always think I was a lesbian because I wasn't girly, but I am straight. People really do just want us to all act the exact same way... but no thanks.
You know, it took me like 1-2 years before I started to chat with regularity in this forum (the original one) lol I wonder how many people sign up who are like that.

You think there might be another person like you, Heather?

I think it can be a little intimidating to join in where its clear that many of the members and conversations have a long standing relationship behind them , maybe people feel they are pushing in on a private group.
Just a thought... All we can do is show our best side and hope they stay long enough for the glue to set!

I did in the past keep the threads down to no more than 20 pages, to try and make it look more accessible, but it didn't seem to make much difference.
I think we have the minimum just now for a useful forum. Another 1 or 2 would be nice.

Really, I started from day one and now no one can shut me up lol...
The OG WOF forum was kind of stiff before Cherry arrived lol her joining did make me eventually post much more often (plus Jen), otherwise I was someone who would just pass by here and there to give advice to the random people who joined just to make one or two posts.
I didn't feel like anyone really cared to know much about me initially, but I also am very introverted and don't always want to share too much until I feel I can trust people. Now I feel like we have a good group of people who do care about each other... but we also treat newcomers with the same kindness and friendship. It's pretty great, I think.

Absolutely, we have the best members here but I do miss Jen. She was one of the one's that made me very welcome when i first started out.
