Have We Slowed down in Space Exploration?

No, you are not nuts. All of these things are different from playing golf on the moon.

I seem to recall that it was always reckoned to be a waste of time and money to put a man on the moon, but Kennedy wanted the space race to be won and seen to be won. If Russia had not been the first into space, the problem would probably never have arisen.

It did though, and Kennedy had to trump the ruskies.

I saw an article the other day, apparently we think he has aspergers.

I reckon it is just us being anti putin myself.

But, we have gained some things from space travel that are now common on Earth now. I'm posting this as a Vulcan though.

I'm a big fan of space exploration. And in my opinion the USA has been neglectful budget wise. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Of course it was the Wright Brothers that conquered the air, not the government. So maybe the private sector will help make the Moon and Mars colonization possible.

Richard Branson....yes "Virgin Galactic", I think, is planning for tourist orbital space flight.

Mark and Scott Kelly are twins and NASA astronauts. Mark is going to remain on Earth while Scott will be spending a year on the International Space Station. NASA wants to see how this event affects the two.
