That's the best thing about repeater alarms. That extra 5 minutes.

I LOVE snuggling underneath the covers, all comfy and cosy.

Heaven!
I really loved doing that when I lived back north. Especially in winter.
I got out of bed today at 7am. Actually, I got up from the sofa: I must've wandered there in the night and just fallen asleep there.
I WILL be napping later today: I feel all sleepy and like I'm about to fall asleep at any moment.
Start worrying when you wake up in the street
My ex once got up at 2:00 am, shouted at me when I asked him what he was doing. He came back to our room, in the nurses home, about two hours later.
I assumed he had gone downstairs to the kitchen and living room, but in the morning, he noticed that his feet were muddy, and he had no memory of having got up.
My daughter had the results of her official sleep test. She was wired up like a borg drone, wires and stickers glued all over her head ,a box strapped to her chest and oxygen type tubes in her nose to record her breathing.
As she said normal sleep was impossible she laid awake because she couldn't relax the glue itched and the box made a buzzing noise... By 5am she was up and almost in tears through sheer frustration and exhaustion..
The results say she had 7 hours and 14 minutes of normal sleep although they did say she was in REM sleep after just 6 minutes... basically theyve said her sleep is perfect..
I am finding that sleep is funny, particularly at the moment. This morning I woke at 04:30. Far too early so I went to the bathroom for a few sips of water, which helps as I think I get dehydrated sometimes and wake up with a headache later, then went back to bed and dozed off until around 07:00. A much more sensible time.

Those results are terrible. She is now worse off than she was before.
Basically, she has said she is ill, and they have 'proved' that she is in perfect health.

I woke up at 7:00 also. Boo barked. He doesn't normally. I went downstairs to find that he had pebble dashed the floor and his P mat was over flowing.

Well her problem is not that she doesnt sleep but for about a year now she has been suffering with chronic fatiuge and needs to sleep a lot. 3 doctors have said its CFS one said they think its connected to her autism.
This seems to go against everything that all the others have said but this was supposed to be a 3 day trial but after the first night she was so distressed and exhausted she ended the trial. Shes asking for it to be stricken from her medical records because it isnt a complete picture.

4:30... Thats my normal get up time. No matter what I do I can't sleep later than that.

I got up today at 10am. I hopped into the shower and used cold water after soaping myself.
In this hot weather freezing cold water is wonderful.
Not as useful as you might think it doesn't really cool you down as much as you think ------------------------ "A cold shower to “cool off” might seem a good immediate choice.,We feel cooler because of the combination of the cold water and the decreased blood flow to the skin, but in fact our core will get warmer because of reduced heat loss from the body without skin blood flow."

I had had a fair experience of this living in a tropical country for years. Taking a cold shower is the norm. Taking a cold shower when the temperature picked up hugely was wonderful, I agree. Who would want to take a lukewarm shower when the temperature is 34 or worse 40 C?
Just to add to that cold shower thing. With dogs suffering heatstroke a cold shower can be fatal. The rapid cooling of their skin traps core heat and can result in death.

Gentle cooling is far better.
I like cold showers in really hot weather but have always started with hot and steadily made it cooler until there was no heat at all. It seems far more comfortable that way.
The hot weather is making it difficult to sleep. I keep tossing and turning.
Actually I'm not finding it too bad. The rain is holding off so I can have the window open all night so it is fairly cool when I beging to wake up in the morning.

I just accept now that I need to get up in the morning. I can always nap in the daytime. Plus, I go to bed every night at around 11pm. That gives me a good 9 hours in my bedroom. Heaven. I like those hours alone: plus, I like falling asleep at night. BUT I do wish I'd stay asleep and wouldn't find myself in the kitchen eating at night.

I ended up having a rather long nap today: I fell asleep on the sofa, you see. I ended up having my daily shower at 3pm and doing the cleaning afterwards. But I don't regret having a sleep: I felt rested and refreshed afterwards.

I fell asleep last night at 10:30pm and woke up at 9am. I didn't sleep non-stop through the night, but I still slept well.
I like my early nights and I recently have begun to look forward to my mornings, what with my caffetterie coffee and my porridge. I also always look forward to my morning shower, to make me feel human again.

I feel asleep today for five hours. I got up. I drank my caffetterie coffee. I ate my porridge. Then I decided to close my eyes for five minutes. Five minutes turned into five hours.
I was shocked when I woke up and looked at the clock. I couldn't believe I'd slept so long! The only worry now is I fall asleep tonight.
