Cooking was very boring to me years ago: but once I realized how nice food tasted when made yourself, I made the effort and enjoyed my food more. Takeaways and readymade food are also extremely fattening. I like to control my food. Sure: I have the occasional Chinese and Indian takeaway but convenience foods are a very bad idea. At least for me.
I am not being snobby, though: I just feel food needs to be prepared properly at home. That's also why I shall start using HelloFresh in a few years time.
My son and his fiancee dropped Hello Fresh after one week.

My daughter is a good cook but her husband was a very picky eater who was very unimaginative. She used hello fresh while it was offered at a massive discount. She let him tock the boxes of what ingredients he liked then she cooked the dishes proving to him that he could try new things without any risk.
Once the discount ended she ditched it. Its way overpriced aimed at people to lazy or busy to shop and those who lack imagination in the kitchen. A decent cook book will take you much further than hello fresh for a fraction of the price.

Everyone has a right to their own opinion. I do know that HelloFresh has fed over 600 million cooks worldwide. I think, however, I'd try it before committing to it. HelloFresh does appeal to me. It costs extra: but I am willing to pay extra.
There are so many opinions, I think I will have to decide for myself. BUT I shall think about all your perspectives.
But that's the way the world is, James: if you don't look like you deserve that desk, you're not going to get that desk.

Hey.. if you want new ideas and want to try new things without investing in huge pots of ingredients you might not use again then its great especially when on discount but as a long term option its just overpriced..
Someone has to pay for all the HelloFresh advertising but, personally, I do prefer the ability to adapt to available ingredients and improvise. It makes life interesting as well as being a challenge.
