I get that feeling when I'm not wearing my Fitbit now.. I've gotten too used to it. I'll take it off to charge, and I'll bring my arm up to check the time, date, or my HR.. but it's not there lol I'll do it a few times without thinking!

I occasionally do that with my watch but Fitbit? I just hope never to need such things. Even having to know the precise time to catch a train or something is a bind.

I got it for the heart rate monitor, but I'm not always impressed with it accuracy-wise... so I probably will need a better version. One of the first signs of my health issues going out of whack is usually my heart rate changing, so having averages and being able to see patterns can help to know during the times I'm too busy to pay attention to myself lol
I've now got a digital stopwatch device: it is to remind me to leave my computer for 5 minutes every half hour. It is annoying, but does the job.
It reminds me of an even more drastic step I had to resort to. When the children were at home the eldest was prone to waking in the middle of the night and watching TV or using the computer. I ended up programming it to automatically shutdown if it was turned on between the hours of ten at night and seven in the morning.I don't know if it ever happened but I think he would not have the skills to bypass it. The youngest might have but he was never a problem in that way. Being, amongst other things, a 'low level' programmer does sometimes have its uses lol

It was always great to outsmart the kids, in a clever fashion, as it taught them so much more than just lecturing, or telling off.
I recall once trying, and failing to get my daughter to stop asking me what words meant, she was 13 or so, and to look them up in a dictionary.
She said that was just stupid [lol isn't everything to a teenager?] Well suddenly adrenaline, or maybe the force flowed through me, and I gave her a lecture on why it was important using a lot of big words that I didn't often use.
Not sure who was the more childish, but I did enjoy it.
Did it work? Yes it did, she stopped asking me, but refused to use the dictionary.
We spent the weekend in San Luis Obispo for my ex's nephew's wedding. We had tea at this place and got a pair of earrings that I can't wear so I gave them to my son's fiancee. This place is now my go to place if I am down to SLO again:
SLO is a beautiful city by the beach. We are even considering retiring there now, if I can find a hospital in that area.
I used to go there with coworkers, often on the Sundays during our business trips. We would park the car and walk around town. There was a burger place that we would visit, but I can't remember the name.

Crystal, if it's on Higuera which is one of the main streets then probably Burger Village or Habit Burger.

I finally remember its name! It was Hudson's Grill, a car-themed diner-ish place. I believe, it was a chain, and there was also one in Santa Maria; however, the one in SLO was "the original."

I LOVE earrings. I always have: ever since 11 years old.
I have a wide variety of earrings and wear them daily. My favourite look are drop earrings. I also love large and funky earrings: they are my statement look.

That was kind of you.
This girl really appreciates everything I gave her. Over the wedding weekend, I saw her wear the sandals I gave her, as well as the Coach bag, the bracelets, the earrings, the hair pins and the nail polish. I don't have a daughter to indulge, she is just what I am waiting for
