I went to the supermarket, as I do every Friday. My shopping came to £61. I also sorted my apartment. I am eating my lunch now: I am having a chicken wrap and it's delicious.
Well I sold the car, finally after a lot of timewasters... Guy collected it last night and paid cash ! So this morning I had to go to the bank with a big wad of notes to pay in.
I also stopped at a clothing shop and bought some summer things for my grandchildren. I might not be able to visit this summer but Im not going to neglect them. They got swimming costumes each plus shorts a tshirt, hat, sun glasses and to make it fun a super soaker each and a blow up boat that they can mess about on. Now I have to box it all up and send it off DHL normally takes a week-10 days so they will have it before the holidays start..

I bought myself a new jacket. My old one is tattered and has had its day. So I bought myself a new one. I won't say where I bought it, but it is a gorgeous colour! I do enjoy Internet shopping. It'll be delivered within the week. I am really looking forward to wearing it!
Going to get some yard work done today before the storm comes. We might grab some coffee and breakfast to go at a local cafe.... They have some french toast with whipped cream.
I am working on planning an organization expansion ( 12 locations are being considered), hiring a corporate counsel, hiring an HR VP... pretty overwhelming right now.
today is ok. not working. not having to worry bout the broke down car in the drive. just sitting here eating and playing video games and trying to pretend the shit don't stink this week. *pulls a grumpy face*

You're going to need an extra large clothes pin on your nose!
I had a bit of a scare yesterday that put me in shock for a short while afterward. I had just finished clipping the hedge in the garden and was clearing up. I left the yardbrush propped up against the dustbin and bent over to pick up some clippings. Next thing I knew I had an almighty whack in my eye from the handle of the brush as it fell. I feared the worst for a few moments and raced in to check and bathe my eye with cold water. Luckily I was only left with a small red mark and a pit of pain and this morning I don't have a black eye. It seems it struck about an inch below the eye but I had my morning coffee straight afterward and was shaking and nauseous for a while. A lucky escape!

I've drunk my caffetterie coffee. I have put on a load of laundry and am browsing the Internet. I also gave myself a manicure this morning, using a summer pink colour: it's gorgeous.

They say that kitchens are the most dangerous, I reckon the garden is a close second.

I'm glad you're OK, jen: no wonder you were scared. It shouldn't happen again, but take care in your garden.
I had a busy day: I gave my dad his card and presents, as it was Father's Day today. I helped cook lunch and dinner. I went out for a lovely long walk. I also worked on my mathematics: I am keeping up my math studies.
I am now at home, on the Internet, entertaining myself with YouTube.
I took my hubby to a brunch today but it is not a good day. We called his Dad this morning, he has liver, lung and bone cancer at stage 4! He told us he did not feel any difference and has no side effect from the chemo, still has the same level of energy.

I would agree. I try to be very careful around the greenhouse because of the glass but it's a bit like car accidents. They come when you don't expect. I do think that being tired increases the cahnces greatly though so I usually know when to stop and rest these days. In this case I had not totally finished the hedge but was giving it a good trim which was tiring. As such I was tired

I am sorry to hear that but at least you are all making the best of things. It's small consolation but his lack of pain is good. It sounds like he is making the best he can.

I had a summer job, in a market garden. The owner said I was good at fixing in the glass panes, so put me in charge of glass panes, but added that it is impossible to not get cut at some point with glass.....

"Thanks!"
I actually got away with it.
You were good! - Just enjoy your (strawberry) ice cream
Easy done - I often check at least twice to make sure I have the right one. Beware of supermarkets filling their shelves with plentiful items and not removing the label for absent cheaper priced similar products where they put them. I used to almost live at customer services in Morrisons at one time. I most always check my receipt before I leave the store as almost everytime they get it wrong it is in their favour.

I have drunk my caffetterie coffee. I am now waiting for a delivery. It is a gorgeous bright pink jacket. I also have to clean my apartment and go to the Post Office. I may also pop into the shop and buy myself some chocolate.

So sorry to hear this..
Take this time to say all those things you always wanted to. Make time to be with him and regret nothing.

Sorry to hear of this. Your husband is going to need a fair bit of support.
I just heard my little brother has osphageal cancer, and has just started care.

I am often in the Company shop queue waiting to point out the over charging. I can't complain properly, as the complaints woman is always so helpful.

Thanks Cherry, I hope your brother is still in early stage and can be treated.

Thanks Cassie, we plan to fly out to spend the week with him and my MIL in a few weeks.

Thanks Jen, that surprised me as well. I have 2 other friends who have severe side effects from the chemo.
