This morning, I finished arranging books on one of the bookshelves in my room. (First one was finished Sunday before lunch, a fun thing on a day of rest!) I have two of the same model, side by side, and I've ordered another of that model that will go on another wall. (There's room in that other spot for the same side-by-side arrangement, and I bet I have enough books to need it!) It's nice to have the books out of bins again, and it makes the room feel right!
After that, I moved boxes and bins around to be in the spots in my room where I'll want them when shelves and other storage solutions have arrived. And extra storage supplies are now out in the "shed," our storage room accessed through a door outside. Lots of lifting and moving with a great sense of accomplishment at the end!
I also printed Chapter 2 of my novel to edit and then send to my mum. (She finally sent an email saying the Chapter 1 changes were good and she wanted more. Yay!) And I found a short story I've got to finish typing and editing - somehow I've misplaced the file for it, but had a printed copy in my things. Whew!
I should see if the kids want me to read to them this afternoon... A good way to start Spring Break!
Car went through the MOT yesterday without a hitch. Ive got a two year ticket on it because this is its first test.
I sold my old bike its one that was very popular here before electric bikes and has a tiny motor on the back wheel.. it runs on 2stroke. But spares are getting harder to find and Im not really into it as a hobby so I sold to a collector and he was very pleased.

I think those bikes with two stoke engines on the wheel went out with the ark here. I have only seen them in museums. I can imagine that they are collectable.

Our ark must be quite recent then my bike was from 2005.! But the spartamet and the mobylette were always more popular here on the continent.

My dad finished wallpapering my bathroom: the next step is to paint it a waterproof Jasmine white and a turquoise on an accent wall. Then my new bathroom cabinet will be fitted onto the wall.
I am very much looking forward to having my new bathroom! It is just a matter of a week's time.

I would have said the same as Jen, but we forget the bicycle culture you have there.

I remembered to renew library books online before late fees start. (Boo to those! It's time to ditch them!) And I bought groceries, quite healthy stuff.
Also had my hour(ish) of library volunteering, and I'm done sorting through the DVDs for the first time. (I'll go through again for the category of "might keep" now that I know how much shelf space is left with the new set-up.) Next up is going through non-fiction to keep the newest and best of that collection. I brought more fiction home with me since the church isn't keeping them, but I'm not done yet with that task - my mum is interested in having some of the reject books, too, and my oldest can come borrow them since he likes some of the same authors. (It's like having shelf space in someone else's house. LOL)

I have cleaned my bathroom and kitchen again today. I also gave myself a manicure, using a turquoise colour. I am also airing out my apartment as I browse the Internet.
Well that was not fun. To start we had mist and the inevitable idiots who think they dont need lights. Then roadworks with a 15 km diversion . Then a lot of raised prices ,empty shelves and even rationing...Pasta and bread products especially badly hit only 2 products per customer with the message on the shelves that these products cannot be delivered.
Still we got most of what we wanted/ needed.
The war is having an obvious impact just 70 miles away...

I'm sorry to hear that Cassie as it is frustrating enough just going into town and finding bare shelves without travelling a great distance to find the same.
I am finding things a bit hit and miss here as there are sporadic shortages in different shops.

At least you got home safe
I think it was a big shock because we have seen none of this yet. Not even toilet paper shortage during the early days of the pandemic...I was going to get a few bags of pasta for the food bank collection next week .. instead we bought feminine hygiene products.

That's a pain, after all that driving, and the loss of a perfectly good day.
We aren't noticing shortages at all here, really. There were only a few eggs last week, but that's about it.
I went to our local supermarket this morning. There are limits on grain products and notices that some items are not available at the time being.
Cooking oil is now more expensive than petrol ar €2.49 a litre.
Ive read that some pasta makers have one month of flour supply left. The grain barley corn and cooking oil are all imports from Ukraine.
Yes, I've heard things will be worse here so I suspect cooking oil will reduce although rapeseed is harvested here so it shouldn't disappear completely.
Following a re-organisation of the supermarket I visit the appeared to be stopping stocking of ghee so I thought it may be a good idea to get some online and found it was cheaper to buy a larger quantity and ended up buying more than a year's need so it's not so much of an issue here as we use little oil. I use olive oil for other things. Bread may well go up and pasta but we are possible less reliant than countries much closer to Ukraine. That said, there are still sporadic shortages, probably due to other factors rather than the war.
I had a quick look and saw that the vegetable oil I would get is 1.44 euro here for a litre although their pure rapeseed oil is 2.40 euro.
Today my only plan is to finish packing for my trip. then I will take it easy the rest of the day. Tomorrow it's a little over an hour and half ride to the port and then a week of fun.

I wandered around town today and bought various items. I also had my bathroom partly painted. Once it is all painted and the bathroom cabinet is fitted onto the wall, my bathroom will be complete! Hurrah!
I have been working on my computer this evening. However, I posted a load of photos onto Facebook, but "this content is unavailable right now" popped up. Annoyed is not the word. I spent ages uploading those photos.
