So today.... I found out my credit card company will now force us to sign up with a bank account through them to use it anymore(have until January)... I don't want that, so I'm going to get a new credit card instead that has no ties to anything. I was instantly approved for a new one, so I should be receiving it shortly.. then I can switch everything over (I hate that part) and close the other one ASAP. I spent the entire morning reading about credit cards and comparing them... ugh lol I settled on one that had higher cash-back for groceries because that is my largest expense.

That's a good choice.
I se my credit card for fuel, to save me going into the pay office, or I use it for large expenditure to get the bank guarantee.
It's back in my past now but I do know that often records were often not completed within a day or two let alone hours. Often Fridays were note writeup time. It was an annoyance to management that people were not out in the field all the time as they noticed them writing up notes and obviously regarded it as wasted time. The pressure was on to complete notes in your own time but, except for the occasional important updates, it was a no go with a family to run. That was the main push for completing them on a visit but all that really resulted in was less visits hence less completed episodes of care -> lower productivity. Like the saying goes - It's not possible to get a quart into a pint pot
Although I admit I was community based rather than hospital I do wonder whether there was a general mentality locally which resulted in some of the poor CQC reports.
That was a job that wandered past me. I would have liked to be a part of the CQC, and I had the qualifications and experience for it.
Still, then I wouldn't have been self employed and part time. A bitter-sweet loss I suppose.
A friend of mine went there. She was very focussed and, I imagine, working her way upwards. I only knew her from work though so I'll just keep my ears open when I hear of them.

I use mine for the Internet, and have a seperate account to cover it.
It's another Football Sunday at my house. Not my idea but we are having pizza today. if I knew that we were going this way I wouldn't of had it last Friday...

Im at home all day today Ive got ironing to do so apart from walking the dogs Im staying at home which is just as well..
Ive woken up with this feeling that I want to kick someone. No one in particular and Im not angry at anything in particular, I guess its just an overwhelming annoyance at lots of niggely things and anyone getting in my way today would get the full force of my irritability..
Hopefully I can take out my frustrations with the ironing and feel more human tomorrow.

My close friend came to visit me today: I gave her Christmas present and card to her. I also gave myself a French manicure today. I have put on a load of laundry and have hoovered. Plus, I am airing out my apartment.

A normal day.
It's a rush to sort the washing now as the weather is dry and it is so mild. It looks lovely blowing in the wind.

It does have a certain appeal and I just love to smell clothes that have been hung out to dry.
We had a long walk in the woods today... mud to our knees , slipping and squelching all the way but it was peaceful and we only saw one other person in the distance. Plus I saw a green woodpecker! great fun,
We moved in finally but a bunch of contractors are still running around, inside and out, like crazy to finish up what they have not. It's a made house, very disappointing.
I had a bad flare-up again of my back yesterday.. I couldn't even raise my arms to take out containers or do much without irritating it. I used ice and heat and took some NSAIDs... I feel a bit better today with that at least.
Then today we had a scare with our dog. Thought she was having a seizure or stroke... but might be vestibular disease. Her eyes were going side to side, and she couldn't keep her head from flopping around.. it was so scary. She is doing much better now.
I haven't returned to working yet because there are now tech issues, and I can't sign in.... and that's already after having to miss an hour to care for my dog during her episode.

I am sorry to hear that Heather, are you going to take the dog to a vet? Did she have a history of anything?

I am sorry to hear your news, heatherly: what a bad time you've been having. BUT things can get better and your dog will very well recover and just get better generally.
With your own illness, you're not alone. Having back pain is something I know about. I was examined by my doctor and given a sheet of exercises. I now do these exercises 4 to 5 times a week. I also combine Tai Chi with them.

Sorry to hear about your back.
Have you given your dog any medication at all recently a worm cure or a flea treatment maybe? Or used a cleaning chemical in or around the house these things can trigger seizures. I once thought that my beagle had had a stroke. He tilted his head to one side and walked only in circles to the left he couldn't walk in a straight line or to the right and he kept falling over. I phoned my vet in a big panic who went through LU2 the list possibilities with me it turned out the worm cure that I had given him kills worms by paralyzing them but because he had laid down and gone to sleep the drug has been absorbed through one side of the stomach wall and this seems to have had an effect on him. Within an hour or two it cleared up and went away completely but we have to avoid giving him that worm cure ever again.
I really hope whatever was wrong with your dog is something simple and not a long-term illness...good luck

She had her head caught somewhere, and once I dislodged her she was having those weird symptoms. It wasn't an actual seizure, we just thought it was initially because we've never seen anything like it and the doctors had told us she could have seizures sometimes depending on some of her possible past dx (discussed below), but it was actually symptoms of vestibular disease. The symptoms wore off quickly this time, but it can actually last for weeks at a time. We read it's basically an "old dog disease," and she is 20, so I guess it makes sense.
She circles all the time... reasons given to us are because of dementia, brain trauma (when the vet dropped her), or a brain tumor... She's too old and has heart conditions, so she cannot undergo anesthesia anymore to undergo any of the tests needed to confirm much of anything... They can't treat her regardless of the determination either because none of the treatments for any of these would be safe for her anyway, so that's why they don't push for confirming a diagnosis =/ We can only treat her heart and kidney issues.. the rest we have no control over, unfortunately. We hate it for her.. she hasn't been herself this entire year.. and she just gets more and more issues we can't do anything for. It definitely makes me sad.
