Great isn't the word I would use. LOL
Family isn't always blood. It's the people in your life who want you in theirs. The ones who accept you for who you are. The ones who would do anything to see you smile, and who love you no matter what.

Today was a better day. I did part of the shift with little pain and no brace. Towards the end I had to put it back on. I will have a couple of Aleve when I get home.

I had my usual Sunday with shopping in the morning then relax in the afternoon. I was feeling tired though and even went to sleep for over an hour in the afternoon.

I've done a LOT of cleaning today: it took a few hours. But it was well worth it! I cleaned my bathroom and kitchen. I cleaned my bookshelves and inside my food cupboard. I keep on top of the laundry. I have decluttered. I am also airing out my apartment.

Today was laundry day and a bit of kitchen clean-up. I noticed one kitchen chair needs replacing, so I grabbed a spare folding chair. Had a few things to put in the shed where the chair was, then noticed the packaging from the new dryer still needed to be taken away... Instead of putting it off longer as is usual with the shed, I got it done right away!
After lunch, I did the budget tracking and filled out our grocery list - no time on the weekend, so it was shifted to today. My kids may be easing into the start of the week, but I'm beginning with a bang!
Talked to a realtor from Raleigh, then went into the office with hubby. I was sipping tea and ate cookies when he was in the meeting. We then went to lunch, looked at ground covers plantssince it's time for my gardener to make a change. We had a quick dinner and watched the debate.
The weather forcast was for rain but I managed to get out for a walk before it did. When I returned home I did go beck out with my sandwich box and fill it with blackberries. They are past their best now so I maybe won't get any more this year but it has been a good year for them. I wonder if I will go out and pick any sloes this year. I haven't seen so many of those.
We have been really good with our power consumption this year and we are getting a return from the power company. As a reward for oursleves we are using the money we get back to replace our old tv with a nice new one (better sound and picture quality) OH will keep the old one for his man cave.

Enjoy your new TV!
I went to work as normal today. I drank a cup of tea there: this meant I had to go to the shop to buy milk for my boss. I got a lot done today at work, too.
I had my usual Wednesday with the mid week shop and art group yesterday. I worked on a painting that I have not touched for a while. It is time to get it finished as it shouldn't take long now.

I've done a load of cleaning today. I cleaned my bathroom and kitchen. I washed a load of laundry and also hoovered. I cleared away clutter, too. I have also had my daily shower.
Yesterday I went into Lincoln town centre for the first time, probably, for over a year. It seems to have changed character no end. I wasn't impressed by what they have done to the market though. Lot's of trendy eating but no market produce, apart from one overpriced somewhat, catering more directly for afro / asian tastes. I know that even they will likely know better places to buy although it is the only place I have seen yam on sale for some time. It's too exotic for supermarkets these days. I resorted to a well established small butcher's shop I have been to before and bought a large tray of Lincolnshire sausages at a good price. My freezer is now bulging again
There are now so many snacky / street food eating places now that some will be sure to go out of business. I must say though that there are far fewer boarded up places than most cities here these days, as far as I have seen. The increased student scene seems to have changed things quite a lot.

I went food shopping with my dad today. He drove me home later where I unpacked. My dad bought me a plastic bin for my socks. This is because my current sock box was overflowing. I also put in a fresh vase of flowers and a quick load of laundry. I am now browsing online and listening to my favourite radio station.

I've seen quite a lot of this in local markets and Street fares quite often you'll go to a specialised Christmas fair only to find the same fella selling the same socks as you see in the Friday market but yes a lot of trendy food places have opened up here as well beans and bagels and something shared dining which means you will eat off the same plate not my idea of fun. As for the older fashioned idea of a market with cheaper prices, local produce, fruit and veg etc it all seems to be dying out.
I was out in the garden after breakfast this morning then pampering. Writing this as just reminded me to apply first aid to a split toenail which I have now done. I will need to keep an eye on it.
As we were both up nice and early we were out and arrived at the nature reserve in time to see the sun cme up and the hot air balloons take off from nearby fields. We had a lovely walk and the sun made the autumn colours glow..
