I decided to clean my apartment. This includes my bathroom and kitchen. I also cleaned lounge tables and wiped down surfaces with anti-bacterial wipes. I am airing out my apartment too.
It was chilly in the kitchen this morning, perfect for baking right away. Prepared some eggs (steamed rather than hard-boiled) and then baked muffins.
Also got in a good walk this morning between having the youngest and middle in the bath/shower. (One prefers the shower, the other still likes sitting in the tub.)
Budget tracking is done and looking good. It'll look even better next week, since we get a tidy sum deposited tomorrow.
Also, laundry is on the go but it isn't my turn yet.
Must get back to a penpal letter this afternoon - I got distracted with Olympics and other TV, and have also felt like I couldn't sit down long enough to write.
Yesterday I wnet for a walk to check how long it would take to get to a village a couple of villages away, over footpaths. There is a function there in the next couple of months and I womdered how it would be to walk. Yet another walk over paths I have not been on before. This time I saw no one, except a couple of tractors passing, after I had got over half a mile away from habitation. It does surprise me how few people walk far. Here you are never far from roads or houses so it is amazing how quiet it is. There are signs that the paths are used though so when? Maybe organised weekend groups? I have seen walkers with maps before.

I walked once from my town to a nearby village. It took around two hours, I think. But I enjoyed the walk and the sightseeing!
I love walking through the countryside. It is refreshing and cleansing.
We did a little sunbathing yesterday. It was one of those days when the sun is out and it's warm, but a single cloud, and it's cold...
I find it tricky to prepare for my walk in that weather. I travel light so, as in yesterday, I was dressed more for the sun. I often go out freezing and get back sweating

I went to work as normal. Of course I had a shower before going to work but when I got home, I was a hot and sweaty mess. This meant I had to have another shower. Including cold water, of course. I washed my hair too, as I did not do so this morning.

I remember listening to a stallholder at a car boot sale chatting about the sunny/cloudy weather, and her cardigan.
"So far it has been off and on more times than I can recall, and I have only been here for two hours!"
When we moved to Yorkshire, it was easy knowing how much to wear. We just looked out the window, at the locals, and wore a little bit more than they did. Yorkies are very hardy. I am very not!

If I didn't know better I would have thought from that you were a southener
The Scots are hardy folk? At least having their raincoats handy in the west? Still the east coast of the UK, although cold, tends to be dryer.
It was mu usual Wednesday yesterday with the mid week shop and art group. I sat quietly for much of the meeting as things got rather heated about the attack on pensioners' finances by the labour government.
