I ordered a new toilet seat! LOL. But I actually did. It is a pink flower design and is utterly gorgeous. My current loo seat is a deep blue fish design: yes, really. I am rather quirky with my bathroom design. I had a new floor fitted very recently and also keep my bathroom super-clean.
I do cherish my bathroom. I shower daily, so having a pleasant and stylish bathroom is very important to me.
Cherry, what kind of materials is the black and white?
Thanks everyone for your kind comments.
It is white and dark blue, Annie. It's just a wallpaper that I liked, and thought ould do a job for me. I put it on with wallpaper paste, then I cover that with modge podge, followed by a few coats of varnish for strength. I don't know how strong modge podge is. Does anyone?

You are very creative Cherry, that motive is my favorite.

I just go round the diy stores and tear off samples. You are allowed up to 1 metre, so I tend to tear off 2.

I clean my bathroom twice weekly. I am having a new loo seat fitted. It is a lovely blooming flower design. Rather quirky! I do love my bathroom. I shower daily, so like showering in a clean bathroom. Plus, I don't like dirt or mess at all in my apartment.
A great website for bathroom ideas is "Cupcakes and Cashmere" by founder Emily Schuman. Her staff show how their bathrooms are designed and revamped. It's worth checking out that website!

And I had my new loo seat fitted! And I have had a new floor put in. Back the loo seat: it looks awesome. The peach rose design is gorgeous. I love the flooring, too. I paid for both the flooring and loo seat: and it was worth every penny.
I am still cleaning my bathroom twice weekly. Having a hygienic bathroom is incredibly important to me. Plus, I've been cleaning bathrooms forever. Perhaps I should make it my second career! LOL.
I am going to install the toilet seat warmer at my new place. It will be a tiny house but has all the gadgets in it. In four weeks, the blinds and shades people will come take measurements of the windows. My husband wants the window shades and blinds to be operated by iPhone.
It's a heated seat. Also, there are disposable toilet seat covers so your skin does not touch the seat directly.
I know, I just dont get it .. Maybe Im not in there long enough to care..but a cool seat is fine by me.
I have a friend who takes magazines into the loo with her.. I find that disgusting and disturbing, body motions shouldnt take that long.
No, I agree with you. When I was out visiting patients I often made use of their facilities on my travels due to the distances invoved and being out all day. It was quite bewildering to see at times. Even bookshelves with a number of books are not unusual. The most amusing, and slightly scary, time was in one which was actually being a fairly large bathroom. This is where they kept their (very large) parrot on a perch. It was also a perfect talker too but luckily it didn't utter embarrasing phrases. It was tethered but the lead was not short so, knowing they sometimes bite and from the sheer size of it, I didn't take my time lol. It feels disconcerting to have a parrot looking at you when on the loo. I wondered whether they chatted to it when on the loo or in the bath?

oh my...Ive never met a parrot in a bathroom although they do say taking the parrot in while you shower is good for their feathers but not all the time!
Some things Ive seen as a home carer are astounding..
Bathrooms with beer crates stacked up ( the woman said it was nice and cool there) another where they kept the potatos in the bathroom again because they said it was cool
Fluffy toilet seat covers
Books
candles
an alter ! seriously a religious icon and flowers with candle holder the whole 9 yards..
At one house as the people opened the door I thought I smelt 20 cats.. it was their toilet, it had limescale so bad it had all but blocked the entire pan and another place where the tiles looked yellow but at a closer look they had just never been cleaned.....

I had an in patient with dementia and one side of her face was like a jigsaw with stitches. There was barely a square inch not stitched. She used to keep a parrot on her shoulder, and it was taking pecks out of her.

Home visits are not often entertaining in that fashion, but they certainly are at times. Do you remember the trend in the 80's to turn your living room into a bar? Complete with optics, and draught beers on tap.
