It's a TV channel over here on which they play old TV movies and shows. It's often very dated, even for me, but there are a few intersting things: Talking Pictures
We have a couple of channels like that in Me TV and Cozi TV. I do watch them quite often.
We watched the amazing mr Blunden. Nice, A family film but a sweet story that has a Christmassy feel.
Arthur's whiskey.. again a nice story i felt they could have made more of it and had a bit more fun but a good story.
The reverend and Mrs Simpson a classic story of love brutality and small mindedness..very much a story of the times we are living in, although its set in 1950..
Almost time for the new season of All Creatures Great and Small to air on PBS (Sunday). I'm excited!
I still have one or two Christmas movies I may get in before then, since the 7th is Orthodox Christmas and I don't mind counting that as the end to the Christmas season. I'll still likely have my "taste of Christmas" each month on the 25th, so I can fit in more Christmas TV specials or movies. Let the festiveness continue!
I watched Ballet Shoes and loved it! Didn't know they'd made a movie from the book, which I have but hadn't yet read. Now I want to give it a go and possibly collect more.
Also watched Home Alone 2, but it was very cringey when the bad guys get hurt. Yikes! Loved Brenda Fricker's part in the movie, so it was still worth watching.
I picked up Season 8 of Call the Midwife from the library yesterday, so I watched the 2018 Christmas special last night. (I did see it already, but have been enjoying borrowing the DVD sets in case I missed episodes here and there.)
I do want to finish off the last two discs of The Lizzie Bennet Diaries (originally and still available on YouTube, but I have the DVD set) so I'll need to alternate shows a bit!
After the phenomenal mess up, we are looking forward to Mr Bates v The Post Office.
We will watch this too.. Amazing that its taken a tv drama to get the government moving on this issue. I saw this morning Paula Vennells is now handing back her cbe...
Just a thought,,maybe there should have been a brexit drama, it might have avoided some of the major mess the UK finds itself in!

...and the level of hypocrisy from the media is terrible.
Have a guess which media outlet was the one to break the story...........

One of the reasons I stopped buying or reading newspapers more than 30 years ago was because I hated the continued negative tone and the way many twist stories to suit their own agenda. I now use them here only to provide links to things I comment about.
Watching Des with David Tennant as Dennis Nielsen. Although a serious subject and I was living in London at the time seeing the news reports. Im finding the scenes of Tennant ( Des) talking about his crimes quite honest and he seems almost likeable.

I finished my Lizzie Bennet Diaries watch, and remembered that I have two playlists marked on YouTube that are sequels (so they didn't make it on the DVD set).
Our weekend movie since the kids were home: The Lord of the Rings 1978 (animated). Fun! I love hearing John Hurt voice Aragorn!
I'm getting closer to the end of Star Trek Enterprise Season 4, since the multiple-episode stories have had me watching more than usual when I have a Star Trek evening. I'm really looking forward to the Mirror Universe episodes! And I've decided on my next Trek series after Enterprise is done: Deep Space Nine! There will be a lot that's new for me, though I generally know the characters and some of the plot highlights over the entire series.

That was a really good film. I loved the voices of the wraiths. "Come back, Come back. To Mordor we will take you."
John Hurt is one of my almost claims to fame. I used to look after his father,
