missed the launch show, but didn't sleep all night so could watch some of the other bits
I watched it last night.
I disliked all the characters, I hope they were just being angsty, and some will grow on me. Certainly my hometown girl won't. She was obnoxious, and vindictive.
Demolition Man turned 30 years old on Oct. 8th, so I watched it again. First half was the most fun with the set-up of all the silly futuristic things (2032 setting).
Another 30 yr old movie is Free Willy, so I was thinking of watching that again, from Disney+ (since I didn't get the DVD after having the VHS back in the day).

I watched The Princess Bride last night because it was the 36th anniversary of its release date. So good, as always!
Tonight, I will try to finish off Call the Midwife Season 2 so I can return it to the library. I missed this season way back when, so I'm glad I started a project of watching the show from the beginning...

I enjoyed the first two seasons of that, but they got rather samey, and predictable after that.
There is so much tripe on tv just now we are watching the third series of Grace, we like John Simm. Plus we have started watching the Xfiles right from series one again. When it was still fun..
As a complete change I watched a 1942 film about Sherlock Holmes and his adversary Moriarty and a secret bombsight this lunchtime. Obviously old fashioned and to boost morale during the war but I enjoyed it.
Thinking on old films, we watched "Rita, Sue and Bob Too" last night on DVD. A really amusing comedy although it would likely be not acceptable at all these days with it's open racism and predjudice. If you look it up be aware that many nowadays would find it offensive:
