I just watched the latest episode of All Creatures Great & Small. The Season 1 DVD is on its way to my house, but I'll wait to watch it again until the new season is done.
And now I can watch a Season 9 episode of Call the Midwife that was also recorded. I'm thinking of going way back at some point if one of the libraries has Season 1!

I have an episode of Call the Midwife to watch tonight, but I'm also thinking I should get to a viewing of The Labyrinth - I got the 30th Anniversary Edition on DVD for a decent deal.
We have started Vienna blood. OH likes that two episodes finish a story he can follow it better than a long story line. He likes that the main characters are easy to identify and I like a period drama..its a win win

I have gotten into watching "Medical Detectives" on CBS Reality every evening. It is a fascinating subject and each programme exposes crime and medical events so well.

One of my favourites.
I've tried watching that but they blur out anything that's got blood in it which basically when you're doing a medical examination is everything. And I'm sorry but like so many of USA documentaries they repeat themselves time and time and time again. Each one of these shows which is an hour long can be condensed down into 15 minutes and still have plenty of time for repetition.

For those who are fans of the original series which initially aired back in 2001. The Proud Family make their return in what I would describe as either a relaunch/remake. There are references within this show that can get confusing as to whether or not that the show continues from the previous one or just a complete and total reboot. Anyway, The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder still follows the character of 14-year-old Penny Proud as she navigates daily life along with her sometimes dysfunctional family. While the first two episodes of Season 1 may seem different compared to the original, mostly with the inclusion of today's slang, by the third episode the creators seemingly got their grove back. Season 2 of the show aired on February 1st, 2023 on the Disney+ platform and just in time for Black History Month.
Penny Proud has always held a special place in my heart as she was the one character who I felt I could live vicariously through during my tween/teen years. I was very sheltered as a kid due to an overprotective mother which makes me relate heavily to Rapunzel from Disney's Tangled, except my mother wasn't exactly evil like Mother Gothel.
So... anyway... yeah, check out this series. You don't have to watch the original series, but I recommend that one too. It is also on Disney+. Keep in mind that both series do have some problematic issues, but it's still a good show nonetheless.

We are watching Marcella... I know it's a serious show, but I find it kind of funny.
I thought Marcella was one of the best things I have seen for ages.
Not sure about the comedy aspect though.
Some of the behaviors of the characters is so ridiculous is what makes me laugh lol I'm always like.. what the heck is wrong with this person.. and that person.. and that person...
{Spoiler Alert!}I pretty much hate her kids and her husband lol they are the worst. And Marcella is just coo coo, but she's a good detective at least compared to everyone else who keeps telling her she's wrong, even if some of what she does is unorthodox or.. illegal? xD

I can see what you are see now. I do like that her mental health issues are so 'real'. So many detective shows are playful eccentrics, and really just not believable.
There was a moment at work when I was on break and found myself starring at the rides. I work near a roller coaster and a ferris wheel when I was reminded of an anime I watched about two years ago. I was practically doing exactly what one of the main characters, Isla, found herself doing in her daily routines which was sitting on a bench watching the rides. It wasn't until my brain fully processed the fact that it was in fact a ferris wheel I was starring at despite knowing of its existence. Plastic Memories was kind of an anime that doesn't get talked about much anymore, but one I highly recommend as long as you have tissues ready since the ending gets sad. Though honestly the ending wasn't as bad for me since I started crying about a couple of episodes prior to that one when everything seemed fine yet you knew what was coming next.
The story centers around Tsukasa Mizugaki, an 18-year-old guy, who acquired a job at the Sion Artificial Intelligence Center. A corporation who is responsible for the creation of giftas— androids that are indistinguishable from humans except the only difference is that giftas have a lifespan of 81,920 hours (appox. nine years and four months). Tsukasa was assigned to Terminal Service One who oversees the collection of giftas once they expire before they lose their memories and become hostile. It is here when Tsukasa and the viewer is introduced to Isla, a gifta with a reputation for being the best at collecting expired giftas. She is a petite woman with a very placid nature. Over the course of the series you see these two characters develop romantic feelings for one another and come to terms with Isla's expiring time.
I'm not entirely sure if I am getting this meaning of this word correctly, but from what I asked from native speakers of Japanese. I believe this anime has a sort of 切ない (setsunai) emotion surrounding it. 切ない(切ない)(Setsunai) tends to be a word to describe negative emotions like sadness that arise despite the person feeling the emotion being in a more blissful or happy environment and state of mind. It is sometimes described as the longing to return to memories for which will never return and can sometimes be when you cry during an emotion series such as Plastic Memories. A connection that I made just this moment. Feelings of sadness that come about from potential nostalgia despite the person's current mood or emotional state contradicting such emotions.
The series is available on Hulu and Crunchyroll.
Thank the moderators that annoying attachment at the bottom of the Proud Family post is gone.

We are going to start season 3 soon... the ending to the 2nd season was.. ehh, IDK.. I wasn't that into it, but I know it can lead it somewhere that could be interesting.

That's a whole new kettle of fish. Very watchable too.
Royal Flying Doctor Service, Season 1. I love the setting (Australia) and the medical stuff, not so much the relationship drama. For their accents, I'll sit through that.
Finished off Season 3 of The Chosen on Tuesday. Really good finale!
And tonight was a Season 1 episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation, plus a Season 3 episode of Enterprise.
Oh, I also watched Wakanda Forever recently. I liked all the Wakanda "stuff" but felt the story wasn't as interesting when it involved an underwater country. So, the first Black Panther movie is the one I'd prefer out of the two made so far. I'll tune in for the next one, though, so I hope they make it soon!
