TV and Film

I love that show!  I'll have to check out Season 4 as well.  I haven't checked for a new season for some time.  Thanks for reminding me.

I'm looking forward to getting the delivery of COBRA Season 1 soon! PBS sent me an email slashing the shipping cost and I was thinking of ordering it using a parcel forwarding service out of Delaware, but then I double-checked Amazon and found it for a bit cheaper (and sent within Canada). Yay!

Other than that, I'm mostly watching various Star Trek series...

The last movie I watched was Halloween Kills. I couldn't even watch the whole thing cause it was so dumb and I'm pretty sure I fell asleep too. The one before that was much better.

i ordered hulu +live tv a couple months ago and i found a show the other night called "samantha who?" with that girl that played kelly bundy in married with children. i kinda like this show. it's funny and kinda cute. there's so little on tv that isn't all sex and gore. a real turn off.

Sounds worth a look.

I'm finishing up watching "Star Trek: First Contact," because it's First Contact Day!

We've finished Killing Eve.. I am not a fan of the very end.

A lot of shows we watch are coming back this month (Ozark, Russian Doll, Better Call Saul.. I think??), but will have to start something else in the meantime. Will scroll through my lists and try to pick some things that are old to get out of the way lol

I'm halfway through season 1 of COBRA. Loving the concept, but wish they'd aimed for watching with younger teens or tweens. Still a decent purchase, though.

We watched a few trailers today after school videos, and I want to see the new Top Gun movie, but I'll likely wait to stream or buy rather than go to the theatre for that one. I'm also interested in the Rescue Rangers movie because I liked that show when I was younger.

We were talking about TV edits of movies (due to my having first seen the original Top Gun on TV) and I mentioned yet again that I have some 80's shows on DVD that I forget about and yet get annoyed when I can't find something to watch on TV or streaming services. Time to get out those DVDs, and then probably get others when I'm done. I already have Knight Rider and one season of The A-Team, what about The Equalizer and others? Dad might still have Quincy, which I gave him when I hadn't watched more than a couple episodes. Could borrow that! I also liked McMillan and Wife once upon a time. Some of these were old when I saw them but I liked them anyway. I might still enjoy them!

I am watching "Sheena: Series 1" on DVD ATM.

I absolutely LOVE this TV show. It was filmed in Africa and the African jungle - and a few villages - and is utterly brilliant.

I won't be watching "Killing Eve". Although it does sound like a good programme.

I don't even know what Killing Eve is about. But I won't be watching it anyway: I am very fussy about my DVDs.

In fact, I had to give back DVDs to my dear friend. He gave them to me as a present, but I told him I couldn't watch them because I am prone to nightmares and simply would not be able to watch them. Thankfully he understood and took back those DVDs. I definitely cannot watch horror films: I have nightmares for years afterwards.

Anyhow - again - Killing Eve doesn't appeal.

Just finished episode 4, season 4, and I am starting to come to terms with precisely where we are at.

It does feel as if there was a season I missed between 3 and 4.

Who is Rufus? When did Carolyn defect to Russia? If she is only doing it to get the 12, why defect at all. It's obvious the 12 are not based in Russia.

My other criticism is the humour, it has become 'added'. In the previous seasons it was incidental. Once they start adding the canned laughter, I am off.  I used to hate it when they tried it on a couple of seasons of MASH.
