TV and Film

Way back when? It has been out for a few years, but not too long. It's on Netflix, but you can probably stream it online for free somewhere.

I'd say give it a chance. There are some interesting characters on the show, and I guess most people end up liking it. You'll have to stick through some boring parts here and there to get to the good stuff, though lol

Did you watch the Das Boot series?

That was excellent.

It is the life in a german submarine during ww2. It is full of emotion, and gives you a very clear picture of life in a submarine during the war.

It received plaudits around the world as I recall.

If you can't access the series, there is the film, which is almost as good.

I have just dled the mini series. The series is better than the film. The film is simply an abbreviation of the series cut and shut to make a 90 minute film for commercial reasons after the series was so popular.

Even so many years later, I can recall the ending and the level of emotion felt. My ex was not an emotional person, but he was shouting at the telly.

I may never have been in a submarine during the war, but I now have an idea of what it is like.

The movie is good, but it lacks the intensity of the series.

I read the new Star Wars movie is a bit of a dud. The computer generated battles are the best parts. According to the article's author the movie is a retread of the original, except of course, aside from Han Solo, there aren't any white male good guys.

I'm not a SciFi person myself. I just read the review.

I was never interested in Star Wars.

Die Hard is a fun movie I agree. Take a drink every time Bruce Willis is killed, a fun game!

I loved The Wallflowers, especially the song One Headlight. Oops.

I watched Ant-Man a few nights ago. The train scene is silly.
