We have something like that here, called a ceramic coating. From what I understand, it's expensive (~$1500) and lasts only several years. Although the the coating is excellent for UV protection from our harsh sun, IMO it's no match for the sandblasting and road debris I encounter on the way to my main work location. $1500 will buy a lot of car wax and clay bars, though not that much of my time. I need the exercise, anyway.

With that came a substantial bag containing a number of lotions and potions to preserve the coating (special things for removing bird poo and shampoos etc). It seems good but, not being out in the car everyday these days, it gets far less stress.

Thanks Crystal, our rental car needed a jump start three times in 4 days, the towing people told us battery should be changed every 2 years in FL due to humidity. Alamo wanted us to pay the towing service $65 each time, can you believe it?

With it being a rental car I would be annoyed and wanting them to pay me

It was opened once, and has since been left in corner in the garage.

this weekend while i'm off i need to order groceries and i need to start on cleaning & decluttering the kitchen. plus i'm gonna keep working on my grand theft auto game. still working on mission 5. i think i gotta change my view setting so i can see what i'm doing. lol!

So far, the forecast says it'll be rainy on the weekend, so there will likely be a library visit and lots of reading and puzzle time...

I may host an indoor picnic on Sunday - Mum wanted to join the birthday fun so we said a picnic at the lake would be good, but I'm not planning to go out there if it's raining!

We may watch Jurassic Park because it was released on June 11, 30 years ago! (How is it possible it's been that long?!)

Might try a new restaurant this weekend.. as a belated bday outing with just me and my SO, my treat. The other weekend was terrible weather, so we put it off... we already celebrated with his family otherwise, so no rush either way.

There will be pictures in the newspaper and on various sites...some will probably have me in it. I haven't participated in it since the pandemic. During a Google search, I found several event pictures from 2016 with me and another guy from work! I'll have to send them to him...blackmail material. LOL

All we got was $50 discount on the total bill and the $65 came off the bill as well.

I am looking forward to relaxing a little in the heat. I will mostly stay out of the sun though. I have already opened the greenhouse door and window. The automatic vent has already started opening and it is only 07:30.
