I am not sure how much fun that is but at least it is good exercise.
Something to take care with. I remember dad getting cut in the face with a flying piece of wood one time when I was little. He did approach the task with enthusiasm though

We had our long weekend last weekend, but Mondays here are generally not too busy anyway. I plan on relaxing on Saturday, and I've invited folks for lunch at the park on Sunday. Hoping I don't get the cold instead... (First it was the oldest, now the middle guy. I'm just dealing with allergies so far.)
Sorry for the MIA; I have been way over my head and am now on the road until next week. We are in Florida and will leave for DC tomorrow; just only a few days ago, we were in NC. Our flight was supposed to land in Orlando in the early afternoon on Monday but, MCO was closed so we had to land in Tampa and then wait until 11 to leave Tampa for MCO. We arrived at our hotel at 2AM, so exhausting.

Annie, I wish I knew you were in the area. I would of tried to meet up with you.

Oh, dear! I hope you find some relief, soon. I'm glad you popped in.

I have a four-day weekend. I plan on giving Ruby her first real detail...wash, clay, wax, vacuum, interior windows, leather and vinyl treatment, etc.
You are a real enthusiast. I bet it looks lovely.
I had planned on washing, claying and waxing today, but my meteorologist husband is afraid the expected afternoon shower might come with some hail. That means, the other two would be exposed, as I usually park the car I'm working on diagonally in the garage. Hubby's got a car cover for his, but I don't have (or need) one for Goldie. Tomorrow would be a better day, he says.

When I got my car I paid extra for a preparation that means you only have to rinse the car,not polish it, and it remains shiny. It seems good, but it's not up to clay standard.

We have something like that here, called a ceramic coating. From what I understand, it's expensive (~$1500) and lasts only several years. Although the the coating is excellent for UV protection from our harsh sun, IMO it's no match for the sandblasting and road debris I encounter on the way to my main work location. $1500 will buy a lot of car wax and clay bars, though not that much of my time. I need the exercise, anyway.

Thanks Crystal, our rental car needed a jump start three times in 4 days, the towing people told us battery should be changed every 2 years in FL due to humidity. Alamo wanted us to pay the towing service $65 each time, can you believe it?
