Um, I have two guns. I also have a carry permit. I admit I had to think long and hard about bringing a gun into our home. But I made the right choice for me I think. My husband suggested a revolver for its simplicity. S&W is the brand, nice trigger pull and fits a woman's hand well. Oh 38-caliber. It is somewhat fun to shoot but LOL I really am not a very good shot yet.

I have a rifle too, a Colt AR-15 I think. It is still in the box.

And it's nice to have my political foe and friend, Pris back.

Yes, my first gun is the revolver I have now. It isn't heavy either (as if I'd noticed considering the bag I usually carry).

I can debate gun control but usually I try to avoid doing so. (Can anyone believe that???) But I do like having the choice.

I try never to argue guns. I am a gun owner. So there is that. But its a personal decision.

But I’ve read that about 60% of the hand gun fatalities in the USA are suicides.

And 40 to 80% of the remainder is due to gang related killings, Detroit and Chicago the big kill zones.

I have also read that Japan has twice the suicide rate of the USA. Due to gun restrictions, the Japanese jump in front of trains. Either way the outcome is the same and sad.

But its easier to rail against guns......sorry that was bad.

Interesting comparison of gun deaths.

I know I have said this type of thing before, but it's really how I feel. Accidental gun deaths are the ones that make me the most sad (and sometimes angry). It is inexcusable to not store your guns properly/safely. Way too many cases such as that.
