Not as such but this is only the current version of a long line of different software implementations that have really been around for well over twenty years. It's just that the AI is getting increasingly aligned with human speech.
I know back in the day there were bots you could chat with... but definitely not that advanced lol that is pretty cool, but still a little inappropriate to have an affair with an AI, no?? lol

Sentience aside I liked the bit at the bottom about determining a person's age. I remember in my teens the variation of looks and sizes making it sometimes almost impossible to get to within a year or two on looks alone.
Thats really fascinating. I have often watched storms here with amazing displays of lightning. The scary ones that hit the ground, sometimes too close, and the cloud to cloud variety which there is usually a lot of. It makes me wonder if any of this is happening with the big storms we have here.

In my childhood home, I stood at the back door - just about to step out - when a bolt of lightning hit the ground right in front of me. I couldn't believe it. But it's true.
We went for a walk a few weeks back, got caught out in some rain, and lightning struck next to us. We ran home!
This is why I can't let my SO be in charge of looking at the weather before walks.. lol he sees storms close by and thinks we'll have enough time to go for a walk, but lightning can strike miles away from the storm. That's why I don't do it willingly..

I remember once being near my home about half a mile away from a village I was going to cycle to. I watched and approaching storm and saw lightning strike at a point the other side of a field I was stood near (about a quarter to half a mile away). A few moments later it struck in the middle of the field. I moved on my way rather quickly. There was no rain at that point
The closest I have been is one bolt of lightning struck the palm tree that I had in my front yard. It was about 6 feet away from the house. The house shook so bad the glasses were rattling.

With outside TV aerials it was recommended to uplug the aerial during storms. I did once see a TV which had been in a house which got a direct strike. The TV had it's sides blown off and there were just melted charred remains inside. You could say it was a write off
It sounds like a long term plan for Jurassic Park on Tasmania?
Could dinosaurs be brought back from extinction? And would we really want to do it? Everyone has watched the Jurassic Park movies, so it is obvious what would happen if we did. HOWEVER, there are dangerous animals humans treasure and do love: like lions and tigers. People often visit zoos and safaris, so we ARE able - to safely - get up close and personal with dangerous animals.
But dinosaur DNA is hard to find: let alone clone. It would take incredibly preserved DNA is dinosaur skeletons to do what they did in Jurassic Park. Still, with the advancement of genetics, it may be possible in decades time.
Hopefully I won't be around when they recreate the T-Rex, though!
Could you imagine how expensive it would be to keep them fed!?
You're right about this. Plus, the T-Rex was designed to hunt and kill: not be fed beef like a MacDonald's cheeseburger. The T-Rex also would be impossible to contain: it wasn't a stupid dinosaur and did think for itself. People could well be killed by it.
I dread the day geneticists are able to engineer any dinosaur.
Things don't bear thinking about really as it may be possible to reverse evolution by backtracking on the genetic codes. It may or may not be permanently banned on humans but in general animals are less regarded.
