Hi, ladies. I’ve decided to write here, because I need your help. I can’t conceive because of a low ovarian reserve: my ovaries have a little number of oocytes, and they are of poor quality. I can’t conceive for nearly 3 years. I’ve already had one IVF with a zero result, and now my gyny advises me to try one more IVF with a donor egg. However, making an egg donation is impossible here, in Germany. If we want to donate an egg, we should go some abroad. We’ve decided to try our luck in Ukraine. Actually, we’ve contacted one Ukrainian clinic located in the Kiev, the capital city. Its name is Biotexcom. We’ve chosen this clinic after a talk on one fertility forum. We chatted with a woman who had a positive experience of getting a donor egg from them. We’ve contacted the clinic’s representatives, and two weeks ago, we visited Ukraine for the first time.
Now I’m going to share my feedback about this clinic with you… The main thing that I didn’t like about the clinic is a bad organization of their work. When we came to Ukraine, we were met at the airport by the interpreter. It was really nice, because it was our first visit to Kiev and we didn’t know much about this city. The girl who was our interpreter told us that a driver would pick us up to our apartment (it was also provided by the clinic). We waited nearly half an hour, but the car didn’t come. Our interpreter made several phone calls, but nobody answered so we had to hire a taxi for our own expense.
The next day we came to the clinic, and I understood why the driver didn’t come. Some words about the clinic… It’s situated in a small private villa. When we came into the clinic’s hall, it was really overcrowded with the visitors. There were queues nearly everywhere. The junior med staff was nearly running. The unfriendly lady at the reception desk told us that we could choose any fertility specialist in the clinic we want by ourselves, and the program manager would join us later. So we walked along the hall for nearly 10 minutes before we found the doctor who agreed to speak with us…
All these things were a little bit painful for me… I understand that they are really busy, but why did they treat us so formally and unfriendly??? We haven’t signed the contract with Biotexcom yet… I’m not sure whether I can trust them…
