Free publicity is a good trick. What I did was ask questions that could be answered by helpful people like me, who would direct them to my website. I used ask jeeves, google questions, yahoo questions, and that sort of thing. You also need to get your website onto stumble upon. It is a long time since I did it, but it did get me started.

You need to set up some mythical email addresses, then go to Yahoo questions and say "I am thinking of moving to Holland, does anyone know if there are any leaflets, or books about?"

Then you respond that you are thinking about it too, and you found this really good book etc

You just need a bit of derring-do and off you go.

Thanks Jen! My last name is similar to neither of those two... And actually I hate my last name. I took my husband's and it's awful. My father's last name was good, so if I decide to write a book someday it'd be signed with that one, which is also not any closer to neither Gorbachev, nor Putin.

I do love him, even though we call each other only 2-3 times a year and he even didn't see my son (who will soon turn 2!!!) yet.
