I didn't know it was called that, but I remember watching some reality tv thing about people who were mostly getting calories by drinking alcohol. That was a few years ago!

I suppose most of my extra kilos came to me because of alcohol, not from it, but because of it, as being a bit drunk I'm always so hungry! And as I didn't control weight gaining for many years including students years when we were drinking like all the time and then of course eating lots of junk food, this is where my weight came from...
As now I'm counting my calories during 5 days per week, I don't drink any alcohol in those days, but when I feel like I really want too I'd eat something with less calories amount, to have a glass of semi-sweet wine... But usually I just drink alcohol on weekends when I also eat everything without counting for my weight not to stuck. And I should say this method works for me as for half a year I've lost almost 10 kilos))) Just 1 kilo left for my desired weight))) But I know I should lose few more as 2-3 of of them will definitely return when I come back to normal healthy nutrition.
But giving up drinking alcohol for ever is not an option for me. That's for sure!
I don't drink more than 2 units per week usually, except on nights out. I follow a similar diet plan, except I eat on four days and am very careful on three.
I don't drink very often. I might say it's only once a month on average.. lol maybe twice a month, but with a week or two in between. I like wine, but not enough to drink it all the time. I can't imagine having alcohol every day, and maybe I have my childhood to thank for why I don't drink much.
I count my calories, but it's more so I know I am getting enough so I don't lose weight. My appetite sometimes is low, and it can be hard for me to keep on my weight. I also watch what I eat for my health... such as, I try to keep sodium as low as I can manage.. I don't avoid it entirely, but I try not to get too much iodine because of my thyroid. Also, I try not to have too much sugar. So every other day or so I might have a cookie, but I try not to do that every day =p I sometimes want to because it's easy calories!! haha..
Haha... yeah... how am I lucky to be as skinny as I am either? I have HEALTH ISSUES. I have foods I cannot eat because it makes me sick..... Definitely stuff to be jealous about, huh?
