Anyone seen this video?
This girl is from my neck of the woods and I guess she has made a lot of people angry with this video.
I only watched this video after hearing how bad it was and how she lost a couple of jobs because of it and stuff.
Maybe I am mean, but I agree with a lot of what she says in the video. I mean, I agree with pretty much all of it. I would never say it publically though because I think that is very tacky.
A lot of people I know who are overweight are in that condition because they just don't take care of themselves. My mother is one of them. I pay attention to those who are overweight at my work, I watch what they eat, and there is NO WONDER why they are the size they are.
I was slowly creeping up the scale, and when I noticed, I stopped eating as much junk food and started eating healthy. It's definitely not an easy thing to do, and I do slip up from time to time, but it is absolutely do able.
So many people are outraged by this video, and they call it bullying or whatever, but I disagree. I think this is a message that needs to be spread. Perhaps not in a way this woman did it, but we do need to stop catering to those who are morbidly obese to the point where they have become a drain on our health system. However, fat shaming is not the best way to go. Really, we need to reform the whole fast food industry and educate children from a young age about proper nutrition and make sure they act on it.
