This may be a little gross for some and not others....
Anyone had their toddler vomit on purpose? My daughter has this thing where she will make herself vomit for attention mostly, it's weird and it grosses me out. Yesterday, I was feeding her mac n cheese along with peas and carrots. She didn't care for mac n cheese (weird because I LOVE IT lol) but she was eating the veggies. Once she finished another spoonful she puked and looked at me like "so are you going to clean this mom?". Maybe because I was sneaking tiny pieces of mac n cheese in her veggies? Idk. But she has a habit of coughing to the point of she's trying to make herself puke...just wondering if anyone else experienced this and how did you get through it
Mine did a few of those tricks. Falling over in the supermarket, holding her breath, going rigid and raising her arms when you tried to pick her up - that was the worst one. I swear she was so rigid you could have picked her up by a foot and held her out like a flag.
Wow, no idea! I tried to read up on it, and some people say their children have very sensitive gag reflexes, so it's possible she really dislikes some of the food and ends up throwing it up... of course, she might do that on purpose as well if she dislikes the food!
If she continues this as she gets older, then start making her clean it up herself, that should make her stop doing it =p
my LO used to do this as a baby, so i cant really help, but i do know, along the lines of what Heather said, my OH hates licorice and aniseed and if any gets into his mouth, even a taste he instantly vomits (because of this he swears hes allergic) i really cant help, maybe you should see a health visitor about it? or any health care professional?
When life hands you lemons, make grape juice then sit back and watch as the world wonders how you did it.

I'm not sure. Kids have tactile responses to certain foods. They typically gag first, then throw up.
Cheese products are notorious for this along with peas, spinach, onions, and some beans like Lima. Most kids grow out of it as they age, but not all.
Great talent if she can maintain it.
Imagine being able to vomit at will on somebody. I have a list.
can i just ask, did your LO have reflux or anything like that?

M had reflux as a baby, he would drink 3 oz of milk but vomit 5 oz, stil happy and put weight on but the pediatrician blamed me for over feeding him, so i just weaned him and never any problems since

My 15 month old grandson is good at holding his breath to get attention. Sometimes his little face will turn beet red then when he see's me freaking out he laughs at me.

The only time that I hold my breath is when I want to get rid of my hiccups. But, I'm older than 15 months even though my posts can't substantiate that.

I have heard of that before. So you think he can actually do that?

Malakai was a little bugger for holding his breath, but he didnt do it on purpose, infact talking about it now i never really got a reason why he did it. sometimes half way through a bottle he would cough like he was choking and would hold his breath, i was first told its reflux and that made sense, he never did it again after using reflux medication, i think it was to do with the valve thing in your wind pipe, sometimes it wasnt opening (something like that) but then i was told by a pedi he didnt have reflux it was just down to me over feeding him. so god knows what it actually was. he does hold his breath now when crying but only when hes really hurt himself
