Out clubbing again last night, really good night too.
Anyhow, I was warming up on the edge of the dance floor, as you do . Suddenly I heard this thump from behind me. I turned round and there was this woman, she was about my age [much too old to be in a night club imo ] sprawled on the floor.
I took one look at her and she was not a big woman, but I am rather slight myself. Anyway I took a quick look around, to see if there was any reaction and ensure the area was safe, checked her breathing and rolled her into the recovery position. The bouncer who was standing looking at me, I told to get help, and call an ambulance, which he did. My partner returned at this point, she likes caring for people so I stood back to let her, and waited for the ambulance. She did stop breathing at one point, but rolling her onto her back did make her start up.
Her friend, standing there, later confirmed that she was not drunk, but had some strange heart condition. Some strange heart condition? Who needs enemies?
This is not the first time this has happened, and I am the only person not standing watching to see what is going on.
Why is that?

Maybe some people are afraid to mess with someone when they have no medical background. At least, I hope that is what holds them back... I don't want to think people are just mean and rude and do not care. I don't know what is up with that woman's friend... seriously??? She didn't even run over to her? That boggles my mind.
I'd at least go over to help. I can be quiet and shy, but in some situations I'm good at taking charge, I guess it's just instinctual. I help people if I'm near and able to. Even just an, "are you okay!?"... some people can't even manage that!
This is sort of related to people just watching or ignoring someone: I remember one time this girl dropped all of her things in the rain on the way to class, I stopped and helped her, and everyone else just walked by or laughed. Mean..

OH... and not to mention this one time where I was at a skating rink, and this guy was skating BACKWARDS as fast as he could, and he slammed into me... making me fly like a rag doll to the floor (those who saw it told me that is what it looked like)... Barely anyone even came over to check up on me! But at least my friend did.. and I think the guy who hit me, and maybe two others (his friends?). But my friend was the one helping me up... My friend was afraid that I had died at first because of how hard I flew to the ground, and she thought I hit my head lol but really, where are the other people who care? Out of 50+ people, only a tiny amount show concern? Weird..
I ended up having a huge bruise all down my side and on my arm... and if I didn't fall on my arm hard, I would have slammed my face/head.
Most people in life are unthinking, ignorant, scared lemmings. The exceptional people are the ones that think not only for themselves but others as well. Good on you Cher.

No, I never had that experience thank god. She was lucky you were there cher.
It is disturbing. People should care, and Cher does.
I do care to some extent, but I sort of feel impelled to step forward, I can't help it, and my inner self is shouting "Let someone else do it for a change. You have nothing to prove."
