So it seems my niece is being christened on sunday, i have another niece and a nephew and no i dont see them as much as id like but i dont have a very great brother sister relationship you see. i have seen my niece once since she was born and i have seen the other 2 a handful of times but i was always invited to any party they had. Just not this one, i wonder if they realise how hurtful that is!

i kinda have a clue why im not, i once had a bicker with my brothers sister (hes my half bro) and his girlf, long story short they called me a waste of space sister and a waste of space auntie, told me im nothing to any of them, they dont need me blah blah.. so i removed them from my life, not my brother though.. but still!
Hes only seen M once, that doesnt mean i wouldnt invite him to any parties if i was having one, hes my brother!!

i just cant believe how hurtful people can be

so i spoke to my brother..
I just said 'can i ask why we are not invited to the christening' (we being my sissy and dad too)
he said something along the lines of no one in the family bothers with him, me dad and sissy have only seen her once etc..
i just told him how much it hurt not getting a invite, to which he replied it hurts that his dad doesnt talk to him (its not that they have fallen out, just not close), i told him that i dont feel comfortable sitting in his home with his girlf who hates my guts, as does his mum and sister. anyway he appologised to which i told him it doesnt matter, its done now.
he then said its nice to see someone cares, i told him of corse i care, hes supposed to be my brother and no matter what she is still my niece, no matter how anyone feels about me its not fair at all!!
his reply really stuck the knife in!
'its not about how any one feels about you, it was my choice' wow thanks 'Bro' i just asked him to make sure they ALL know i wasnt not there out of choice, they wont hate me for it, ill make sure of that!

the thing that really hurt me, besides him saying it was his choice not to invite us, i ALWAYS make it to any occasion, espesh a big one, i have been there for all birthdays, no i dont shower them with presents, i dont shower anyone but M with gifts, but im always there!!

Thanks Cher, good words! i have tried to clear the air with his girlfriend but she puts on her halo denying anything and acts innocent so ive given up on her my main focus is my brother and the kids, and if it doesnt work with him then the kids are my only priority i have gone this long without a brother i can go the rest of my life

I think all of us have family problems.

Some are sad, horror stories about drugs, rape, abuse mental and physical, etc.

So although I vent about my mom's inconsideration, we are basically intact, and

i think its more the nature of the event, a christening is a big event, and i wouldnt miss it for the world, well actually i will, but not out of choice and that hurts more, the fact im missing out on it when i havent chose to do so! it would be a little different if it was a birthday, there will be more of them, but only one christening
