I bought groceries today. I also went in search of a bin/storage cube/whatever so that I don't clutter one area of the living room where I generally sit, and I picked up a few Corelle dishes for the kitchen at the same store. (I settled on a small storage bin, btw. If it starts to become overfull, it means I need to take some things back to my room because I don't need them all at once in the living room! LOL)
Its OH's birthday soon, we tend to stick to practical gifts these days (odd exceptions) so Ive ordered him these.
A little bit more luxurious than his normal clogs these are made of willow instead of poplar and they are made locally at a place that also houses the clog museum..

Not in Friesland, they are traditional and many manual workers, farmers , gardeners, street pavers ,lorry drivers etc wear klompen and everyone in the hospital wears them . Its part of the culture here. This is where Ive bought OHs klompen they are good and theyve won several awards.

I bought a new phone. Actually I'm just paying for the plan. I got a post paid plan from Verizon and the phone ($350) was free. The phone plan is costing me $71 something each month.
Family isn't always blood. It's the people in your life who want you in theirs. The ones who accept you for who you are. The ones who would do anything to see you smile, and who love you no matter what.

I decided to get an entire book set today, secondhand but hopefully in great condition. I can't remember how many of the books I've read from my mum or borrowing from the library, but now I can have them all to "binge-read."

I read all the time on my phone at work. LOL!

yeah I don't spend a lot of time on my phone. I mainly read on it and play stardew valley. I text very little. but at least it's easier on the new phone. lol!
by the way, I laid down for a little bit but it's so hot that I had to set the a/c on 80 and now I can't sleep. I got a cool cloth to wipe down with which helps. if the a/c goes down I'm screwed.

Welcome Mary!
You set your AC at 80? My home temperature is always at 68.

yeah this apt isn't very well insulated and the a/c struggles to keep up when it gets to 100 and above. most of the time i'm at work so it's no biggie.

Surprisingly comfortable. You do wear thick socks but they dont sweat in summer and they keep your feet nice and warm in winter they are supportive too and also very easy to clean , just hose them off and leave to dry! Also when they are worn out many people use them as bird feeders or nest boxes just hang one in a tree and its done..

My god, what absolute rubbish, being sold as genuine by a picture of a guy in a scrub suit.
Speaking for myself I have only ever worn clogs in surgery. That was for three hour sessions, and I really don't remember what they were like at all. That tends to tell me they were comfy. They were leather tops rather than wood though.
As a general rule of thumb, if shoes feel comfy, then they are not going to do you much harm.
...and I am someone who doesn't always take her heels off when I come home. Sometimes, I get busy, and just forget I have them on. I have neither corn, callus, or foot strains.

A sales pitch with a disclaimer at the bottom saying its not medical just informational !
Grocery shopping. I almost got robbed. There was a fruit loaf in the bread section, all bread products are 40p. But when I checked my receipt, I was charged £5.39.
It must have been left in the bread section by a customer changing their mind - very annoying. I did get my money back.

That often happens. I checked the reduced section in the supermarket yeaterday and found, as usual, two items of veg that I may have bought and saw they had no reduced label. I think people pick something up to buy then come across the reduced section and just change the full price item for the one which is reduced.
I still check my receipt before I leave the shop. There used to be a time when I was at customer services on almost every visit but nowadays they are better and I seldom need to. It's often more the case now where supermarket staff put things in the wrong place or fill the shelf with things they have a lot of and don't take off the (incorrect) previous shelf label. It happens so regularly that I think it is deliberate.

I bought a pair of floral silky harem pants. They sound awful.
They look really nice on.
Here they are called palazzo pants, I have a few of them
You got me curious.
What is the meaning of the word Palazzo?
noun. pa·laz·zo pə-ˈlät-(ˌ)sō plural palazzi pə-ˈlät-(ˌ)sē : a large imposing building (such as a museum or a place of residence) especially in Italy.
