I bought groceries yesterday, and have saved money two weeks in a row by switching grocery stores. Yay!
It feels like I'm on a spending spree lately, but most of it is just necessities cropping up. Sometimes me letting a want slip in there because we've got the funds and don't want to resent being good at saving!
One purchase lately that wasn't strictly necessary was to replace our old cloth placemats for a new set. You can only wash that old set so many times before it just looks worn out, stained, etc. Hoping the new ones last a bit longer - having my taste in placemat colour and design change before the item wears out would be refreshing!

I find the same. I guess if something needs replacing, it needs replacing. There's nothing much else you can do.
It is an avenue that interests me. All my systems are either manually watered or tubs with air pumps. I have not used water pumps and the system types they are used with at all. As ever, my main issue is space.
I also taxed my car. I called at a post office to do it. The paperwork you get pushes hard for you to do things online and does not even mention the possibility of doing so at a post office now. It seems that they want everyone to do things online, and set up a direct debit. Most probably will but I like to support local post offices. It's not so much the post office itself but partly the social nature in a small community and keeping the resource open for people who do need it.

I agree with this.
I always use my local Post Office. They have been there for over 40 years: and with good reason.
I bought a sex toy today. Though really it was initially created as a massager. It's a MagicWand Pro and I cannot wait to feel the vibrations. However, I'd likely use it on my hands and apparently it was invented as a hand massager specifically.
