I'd love to know what writers you all like. I don't mean who you think are great writers from a technical or academic POV per sey but who you personally love to read. Those writers you that cause you to devour their every word. Those writers who's books you can't put down.
I like sci fi Asimov Foundation series was excellent. Frank Herbert and the Dune series, especially the last one.
I also like Alexander Solzhenitsyn who wrote One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich and Cancer Ward. They were both excellent, but I never got the Gulag Archipellago finished. I gave up half way through as it was preventing me from moving on.
Well, this was a few years ago, but at that time... Karin Slaughter. I loved her Grant County series. I read them so quickly, and I would run out to buy the others. I forget which one I stopped on, though, because I lost interest after a certain character wasn't around anymore.. lol but it was one of the last books, I think. Maybe the book before the last.
