Fracking for oil has led to some serious independence from imported oil.

OPEC as a result is now currently flooding the market with cheap oil.

So what is good for consumers is not necessarily good for everyone, especially oil industry employees.

This comes at a time when the dollar has made a strong rebound, making exports more expensive.

Sorry I had to look all this up for a cognizant answer.

The bottom line seems to be that people believe the government will do anything to chase oil.
