I have heard of that.

Two ways to go safer are

1. turn your computer off when not in use

off, not sleep

2. Strip you hard drive, and reboot all your data monthly

This is a pain but will remove anything

We have Malware Bytes anti virus and it has been the best so far.

MacAfee and Norton are useless, designed for kids.

I use: avast anti virus Spybot Spyware blaster and malwarebytes I also do a full scan and update of those every week.

Otherwise they could conflict, and cancel with one another.
