Not like you to be an establishmentarianist? ?

With interest rates held to historic lows, retired people with savings have had to move their money into the stock market. “Safe” investments just don’t pay a satisfactory return. This puts these people at risk if the market takes a significant loss.

Middle and low income people have seen reduced hours, job loss, wage stagnation and many are living pay check to pay check with little money left to invest. The job participation rate is the lowest since before WWII. SSI disability and welfare are at an all-time high. Has the rising stock market helped them?

Now Wall Street and the top 1% they’re doing very well. And I hope to join them. But they (and I) can weather a stock market down-term well better than the elderly and those on fixed income.

My take is that the Federal Reserve's actions to hold interest rates to banks at artificially low rates and "quantitative easing" (printing money) of course have created a stock market "bubble". The outcome may not end well.

You cannot blame obama for all of this. It is identical in the uk, and sure as %^%$ he aint our prime minister.

As an EU, you have a more thorough understanding of our capitalization system
than many here in the US,

We are so cynical sometimes.

I do feel pretty bad for the extreme lower classes.
