Most of us did NOT rush home and announce; "I just got laid".

But last weekend I met a 30 something, very nice, educated, attractive girl, who told me her parents do not know she has a 10 YO son.

WTF?

How is that even possible?

We were both on our 3rd. glass of wine, talking about family stuff, when she told me that.

That FU up my wine buzz for sure.

You know, I actually did speak to my mom about sex. When I was a virgin I even told her who I was thinking about losing my virginity to lol maybe I'm weird, but she always made me feel comfortable enough to talk to her about anything, and I guess I forced it and made her HAVE to be open with me, too =p

My dad, though, I would not ever talk to him about that. He still thought I was a virgin years after the fact, and I'm sure he'd rather think that still. I remember feeling embarrassed when I broke up with one of my boyfriends and he said, "he was probably only after one thing anyway (sex)" and how he was pretty much glad I didn't give any of the boys I dated what they wanted LOL all I did was laugh and agree with him.

Other than that.. I love my parents, and I trust I can tell them everything. But of course, as mentioned, I would be more likely to tell my mom everything, and my dad *most* things lol some things I would feel uncomfortable talking to my dad about, and I'm sure he appreciates I don't bring those topics up lol

wow, i was terrified to tell my mum i was pregnant, but i couldnt imagine not telling her and keeping it a secret, i also couldnt imagine my little boy without his grandma :s very strange

My dad was the go to parent but not too much about sex
