Kill the Extremists.

Well, kill the extremists who kill, and lock up the ones who haven't yet =p

Sometimes I feel if someone can be brainwashed to be an extremist that maybe they can be brainwashed not to be... but it would take a long time to reverse the damage. Maybe that is just wishful thinking, but I hear of cases such as that in many religions.



Arresting people for having a beard and wearing a veil is an extreme; what shall we do with them?? ;-)

I can see that as being the case, for sure. Impressionable people who want to be included or have a purpose... even if it's destructive or evil. Some people will drop morals and ethics just to fit in, and that is sad =/

But Jen I'm fearful of nuclear proliferation! Until recently the goal of the USA was to keep Iran from achieving a bomb. But it looks to me that the objective has changed.

Lack of education is the main problem.
Keep a society ignorant, they are yours.

Scotland has an excellent reputation for education, and one of the highest standards in the world.

Doesn't do much to prevent extremists over here.

Cherry, I wish I knew how to deal with all extremists. I don't. LOL I wonder if you and I would even I agree on who it is that is extreme. I hope we would.

But if we are talking Muslim terrorists (Al-Queda / ISIS / Muslim Brotherhood) then...

The international Jihadist movement has declared war on Western civilization. We can become isolationist as some have suggested. But I think this will not end their war or their violence.
I think the reality is that the movement must be confronted directly and most likely militarily.

As General Patton said, “No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his country.”

I know I sound terribly harsh and have sbsolutely no military experience but reality often sucks and leaders with hard bark are rare.

I suppose we have to ask what extremist are initially.

I oppose all extremists, particularly in my own country, simply because they are closer to me, and can directly affect my life.

To define them is not easy though.

Extremists are unwilling to act in a reasonable fashion toward all others, they won't live and let live, they resort to intimidation if they do not get what they want and are utterly self righteous.

Freedom of Religion was a founding principle. So I'm not surprised.

Hey, did anyone watch the "Henry VIII" series? I think it is a Showtime product. I was only able to rent the first year's series but I thought it very good.

I am a sucker for a good soap opera.
