One that we have all heard.

The beatles.

I am not much of a beatles fan, so choosing was not that easy.

For me it will have to come from their best album - Sgt Pepper. This track is just so novel and yet endearing.

I'm not sure if it's "the best", though? A lot of times I like songs based on how they make me feel, so I might be disqualified ;-)

Actually, for me the beatles are a radio band. Which means I would never put an album of theirs on, but it is pleasant to hear a track every so often.

However

I do take your point about music and that the mood affects what you choose, and I accept that it is daft to pick just one song, but this is a fun thread,
