For me, I wasn't much of a journal-person until this year. I started keeping a digital journal and now I'm obsessed. I know some people need the comfort and feeling of real pen on paper, but I find a digital journal makes it easy to do where ever and whenever. It's also good when you haven't settled into owning a home yet and don't want to move all your books. Not only can I attach pictures, I can use the search function to find certain things. I've tried paper and pen before but I never felt motivated to keep doing it.
I try to recall my day and write three things I'm grateful for everyday. I also write down my dreams in the morning if I can remember them. It's wild looking back through a dream journal

I used to keep a pen and ink diary, but Ive got out of that habit these days. I do keep an online diary of events regarding my husbands health and progression I find its important to keep track or else you lose sight of the slight changes that can warn of upcoming problems and only notice when there is a big change.
I used to write a blog but the website owner changed and they got too complicated so I abondoned that. Ive never really thought of opening a journal in my home pc..
I have never kept a journal, other than in very minor ways. Maybe in a way though my financial spreadsheet which I have been keeping for a few years now does imply quite a bit so could be considered so. Over the years I have sometimes started writing one, both online and on paper, but I am so changeable with ideas that it doesn't last long.
When I was younger I had a diary but I haven't in years. I just wonder where that is now. Probably at my parents house. Umm.. That could be dangerous. lol...

I have journals on my computer starting way back in 2000. I have a WORD document for every month and a different digital folder for each consecutive year. I like keeping my diary on my computer: I don't like writing by hand anymore. I stick to typing and love the way my diary entries look with my skills at graphic design. I can be creative and record my life.
I also have a digital address book. A digital food diary and sleep diary and EXCEL spreadsheets for my accounts.
I used to journal... in written form and in an e-version. I hardly do that anymore unless something is bothering me that I need to hash out, and I have an app on my phone for that now. Otherwise, I post on this forum mostly, which feels similar to journaling even without a designated thread for myself because we all share our random thoughts and feelings.

Health is especially important to track if you can. I agree that you'll miss things if you don't do it often enough. It's also part of the reason I started journaling daily; I want to remember the little moments.
A journal on your home PC would be a great alternative to blogging~ I prefer because it I don't like posting my thoughts/pictures for everyone to see when I can just keep them to myself haha

I don't see why your financial spreadsheet can't count. Not everyone does that either--seems like something I definitely should try haha

Do your parents like to snoop? Do you have to hide the evidence? lol

I move with the times.
That's awesome!! I use a journaling app from my computer, but it's really hands on and cool of you to customize word documents to your needs. I like the customization that digital journaling like that offers.

I've lurked at that section a little bit! I don't think I could share my usual day-to-day but maybe I'll add a fitness journal to track my progress~ Thank you
That's another reason why I like having my journal on my phone--sometimes I just need to vent quickly or problem solve. Having a journaling app right there makes it easy to let it out.
And I agree being on an online community feels similar too. It is a lot like journaling, but with people from all over

Fortunately no. I am thinking it is probablt on the book shelf in my old room. Yes my bedroom is still the way I left it. My mom says she likes having it that way.

Yep! With journaling, we only have our own perspectives, but we can learn from others in a forum, which is an element I enjoy.
