This is a great song, and most every cover confirms that.

Classical music bores my oldest, so I try to find a metal version when I want to share. He appreciates that. Total rock, rap, and metal dude, so it's good for him that I have some knowledge and love of artists in those genres.

Because I have a wide range of tastes, though, I can find music for the middle guy, who prefers classical and instrumental music - because of autism, it helps him not having so many channels of info to parse, though he doesn't think of it that way. Anyway, I can help him find new composers to enjoy, and I print lyrics if I think he should check them out - he mishears lyrics all the time!

The third child is still a bit of a mystery yet for his musical preferences. We'll see what develops, but I'm going to guess it'll be like his oldest brother...

Only thing I don't really like is metal with a lot of screaming rather than singing.

One of my favourite singers from the '90's died in February, and I've been revisiting his CDs lately. He was a Vegas-showman type in a lot of the tracks I liked, but also had a bunch of songs that would fit right in with what my mum and her friends expected in church back then. Very cool dude. I'd recommend "I Got the Joy" if you've never heard a Carman song before. He's probably an acquired taste, though, if you didn't grow up with his tunes around!

I am quite happy listening to classical music as a background, but my taste is always more, I can't think of a better word than, 'teenagery'. lol

I think John Lennon was really overrated, apart from this.
