I just watched a video by "The Band Perry". The song is What If I Die Young and it's awesome! The lyrics sound very Kacey-like.

As she's passing away she has a book of Tennyson poems in her lap. Needless to say, she didn't pass, but I thought that you would like her choice of poets, Cher.

I loved the Who as a teenager. I used to go to the dance halls that played that sort of music.

I liked Won't Get Fooled Again, but from that album, this was my favourite:

I have put on the live version, just for a change.

When I was young I fell in love with The Who. There are very few songs of theirs that I don't like. Did you know that after the 9/11 attack The Who played in a tribute concert, honouring those that passed on that horrible day? The most appropriate song they performed was "Won't Get Fooled Again". And Cher, you that I named my spider Boris because of John Entwistle's song.

Actually Matthew Sweet was a member of The Thorns and Susanna Hoffs sang with The Bangles (she was the one with beautiful eyes). They teamed up to do a recording of cover songs that were originally performed by Yes, Tom Petty, Raspberries, George Harrison, etc. It's very good.
