In my experience some guys don't even know how to dress and need help / advice.
This is true. I guess every guy is different. But fashion is not just for women: it is for men, too. I just wish all men realized this. A man can look stylish and groomed and seriously attractive if he were shown how to dress properly. But some guys are just too embarrassed to admit to not knowing how to dress. Pride would be the reason for that.
Still, some men do give us women hope when they dress very well!
I reckon most of them just wear what's on the top of the drawer.
Exactly, why dig down when it's easier to take whats on top. beside always wearing the same thing and another drawback is those items fade and wear out pretty quickly.

Old jeans?
I HATE the jeans and T-Shirt look. It is ugly, old fashioned and fuddy-duddy. I steer clear of that "laid back" look completely. I don't wear a twinset or pearls, either: that look is also fuddy-duddy. No: it is smart-casual for me. Definitely NO leggings/NO jeans/NO tracksuit.
I like the dress look - without leggings - and skirts. Fitted tops are also for me.

We all perhaps have a comfy favourite though
I do have favourites, but I spread most of the time.

I look absolutely awful in leggings and skinny jeans. I WILL wear tights, though.
I choose dresses and skirts on a regular basis. I love stylish tops. Shoe-wise, I stick to flats. This seems boring, but I can't walk in heels: I always trip and fall over! Not a good idea.
I do own ONE pair of jeans but they aren't ripped or faded: a look that doesn't suit me. And now I am older, I guess I know what looks good on me and what doesn't. Although everyone has the right to their own style.

I'm laughing with this, in a good way. You sound like my aunty and I am missing her. Contrary to you, I like wearing shirt (must a v-cut) and jeans. I pair them with style of shoes depending on the weather/season. I usually match the outfit with smart casual jackets and a poise

I do have some jeans but don't wear them often. I tend to wear leggings under a tunic top quite a bit as they are more practical than tights. During the summer I spend far more time in skirts and dresses than the winter although do have thicker tights to keep me warm. I think it depends quite a bit of your general build and lifestyle as well as the season..

I prefer jeggings to jeans, and I wear a lot of leggings too.
I am perfectly happy in a skirt, or dress, too, and wear them plenty.
I rarely do tee shirts, and only wear joggers for gardening, or decorating.

I totally agree! I've been mostly interested in leggings and tunics for a few years, and now I'm looking at yoga dress pants for that stretchy fabric, but a little less casual look. Still tunics if they're not too tight at the sleeves, or shirts with dolman sleeves or a loose fit. (No batwings, though!) I've worn yoga skirts and my linen pants a lot this summer - skirts for the weekend to be dressy, pants during the week...

In my view it is a good look but it's horses for courses. If a guy walked around here dressed like that people would maybe wonder whether he was a going to a wedding or funeral, government agent or Jehovas witness It would go down well on an evening out though.
