I know people like them and they are a tourist attraction but really?

Most of them are outdated and overpaid.

I do like the Dutch royals as people but I wouldn't miss them.

History teaches us that 'better the devil you know'. Look at all the troublemakers - the dangerous ones - in the world at the moment. How many are actually royalty?

In the Uk royalty and government is a complex relationship. There is no two minute fix. I would say though that it helps to make a dictatorship far less likely.

I got on a mod's nerve when I mentioned there being way too much obsession/news articles about royal babies lol I feel this way about any baby news that is excessive, though.
