I was tearing my hair out this morning and had to put an incorrect one in to determine the way to go. I did it in four in the end though : Wordle 257 4/6
Well done to you too! I wonder if anyone will do it in one purely by chance
I always use the same word on my first try and I am looking forward to when the word of the day is that word and I'll be like, "Yeah I did that on purpose!"
That one letter didn't help me much LOL but I did run out of letters to choose from, so this made sense.. otherwise, I was going to start making up some weird words.

I started when it was already 200+ words into it.. so I don't know if mine was already used lol
It's funny they mention "SWILL," since hubby lost that day. LOL
I saw a headline on WaPo's website about how to cheat at Wordle. I did not open it up to read. Once I see how, I can't unsee it. For those interested, it shows up on a Google search.

I think we play the game because we want to pass time and want to challenge ourself. It defeats the purpose if we cheat.
I don't see the point of doing so. I have wondered about programming the computer to come up with predictions of the most likely words but, unlike for a codebreaking competition I once entered when I was more into such things, the effort to write the program would not justify it.
