So for a change this morning i decided to actally straighten my hair and wear it down, 2 hours later this always happens to my right side
my hair used to be longer, way below my shoulder, but because of this i had it all chopped off, into an inverted bob, hoping it would grow back and not do that, but it did, and now my hair never stays straight, i dont blowdry my hair simply because i dont have the time to do it with having a young baby, when i finally get in the bath at 11pm having the hair dryer on is the last thing i wana do haha and besides i cant do it even if i tried. anyone any ideas what i can do? ive not died my hair in over 2 years, i used to bleach it but ive had it all chopped off since then, my hair is in relatively good condition just thick thats all.
please help im sick of wearing my hair up EVERY DAY!!!
ps mind the colour, it looks green under these lights -.-

You use a blow dryer to straighten your hair or an actual hair straightener?
If you use a hair straightener, then you would probably need to use products that helps remove frizz and reduces damage from heat. Your hair should feel smooth and pretty silky if it's straightened right. I used to always have my hair straightened for a few years (when it was short), and the only times it kind of looked like yours was when I was lazy and too fast about it; so I actually would make my mom do it for me for it to come out right lol if I didn't put any products in it, then it also wouldn't last quite as long and would start getting poofy after a while... like my natural hair does. It's a hassle, that's why I don't even bother straightening my hair anymore.
even if I wanted to get my hair straight, my freaking hair is so stubborn that itll curl more after awhile. and when my hair dries after bath, I would look like ms. sunshine! (sun, sun mr. morning sun *song from Barney) hahahaha! dang the LSS!..tss

Your hair doesn't look green to me, Callie My hair is shoulder length and very fine. Normally I just shampoo it, and comb it out while I'm blow-drying. Maybe I'm lucky because I'm used to the look.

my hair has done this for ever!! i always use frizz products, atm the shampoo and conditioner im using isnt great but even when i do use high end ones it still does the same, i use leave in condtioner and a serum on my hair, i dont blow dry as i just cant do it lol the only time it ever stayed straight was when i used to go to this one hair dressers, they would wash, blow dry and straighten my hair after a cut and dye and it would stay straight fr about a week without doing that, now that hair dressers is no more, and someone else comes out to do my hair but she only does a cut, since this ive not even bothered to wear it down bcos im just sick of how it looks lol i even posted the pic on my instagram and a friend from school commented saying 'some things never change' she knows me too well, i was friends with her in year 7 at school so about 9 years ago! shows how long my hair has done this for, its only at one side and like i say even when ive had it cut to above where it does it, it still grows back the same

Is your hair naturally straight or is it more wavy? You could always wrap your hair while it's drying, and then when you take it down it will look wavier, and not quite as frizzy. That works well for me. I wrap my hair up in a microfiber towel and let my hair dry. My hair is wavy, though... but if I brush it out while it is drying then it will look straighter, but it will be puffy and frizzy because it's not naturally straight lol

my hair is frizzy and curly, i can wear it curly so i will just scrunch it when towel dry and spray on hair spray, if i leave it to dry its not curly, or straight its just frizzy haha

For you chicks that have frizzy, curly hair and want it straight & frizz free, have you ever had a keratin treatment? I just had one...my hair frizzes....I was so sick of it....my hair stylist suggested this keratin treatment. Now when I blow my hair out....no frizz!! It was well worth the $75.
I can't remember if that was the treatment I have read about that caused hair to fall out or not.. Do you know? It might have gone by a different name before.

Sorry, I shouldn't smirk, but let's hope Val doesn't get back to us, saying she has changed her mind.

That was the Brazilian blowout. It had all these weird chemicals. My salon will not use that.

Brazilian blowout is a keratin treatment. So I guess they do go by a different name now, but the same thing.. They didn't want to be associated with the hair falling out, but it's still the same stuff? lol
However, I don't think it's the keratin that makes the hair fall out; I think it's pairing the keratin with too extreme of heat when trying to seal it in, at least, from what I read.
You will probably be fine... after your treatment wears off, then you will see if it damaged your hair or not. And I guess you can already tell your hair isn't falling out =p

I just looked up the keratin treatment and I saw rave reviews. Apparently it was designed specifically to address frizzy hair. Sounds like you're just fine, Val. I'm glad that I have straight hair; I curl it once in awhile, but have never had to worry about frizzing.
