Hi Ladies
Genealogy is one of my hobbies and also involves attending Celtic/Irish and Scottish Highland events. My dad's paternal line is Scottish. they came over from Port on Monteith Scotland in 1821 to Renfrew County Ontario. I sponsored my youngest brother in the Family DNA testing. We came back with one really close match who was from the Ft Williams area of Scotland back in mid 1700's. the furthest I can go back on that line is about mid to late 1700s in Port on Monteith. I cant find the connection to this match or to Dr David Livingston(e) whom we're suppose to be related

for my other family lines...mom's paternal line cant get much of anywhere, its Ukrainian and very hard to trace. Cant get past my great grandparents, maybe a little but not much. her maternal line a little further. dad's maternal line not very far. I currently use Family Tree Maker and Ancestry. and instead of just having my direct lines and blood relations the tree is extended family and their extended families, etc. so its a never ending project. I think its currently at 70,000 entries or more. Although just getting my current living members to provide their info would be a big help.
