How can I forgive and forget without being a b!tch (Updated)

Hey guys. Three weeks ago, I found myself in a situation with friends / family where they didn't pay when they agreed to. After a while, I forgave them and was ready to talk and move past the issue.

The apology never came and we haven't discussed it since, until yesterday. 

The group (except the one that paid for gas money) told me that they were angry at me for leaving them at the bar and not checking up on them. Which isn't true. I texted them that night about how they were all getting home and they assured me multiple times that they were able to get home without me. 

Specifically saying "If I wanted to pay someone to take me home, I'd get an Uber". Not cool. 

Anyhow, I was told I was being selfish and an A-hole because I didn't come back to the bar to negotiate gas prices in person... (I texted the group chat about gas prices and they said f- that) 

Am I wrong for not checking up on them at-least?

(They didn't check on me that night or the day after and it didn't bother me. So why is it bothering them?)
