First I want to say I was wrong at the highs for today. It was 85. So to keep from being banned I am going to spend tomorrow in the big refrigerator room for vegetables at BJs. ( a wholesale store here in the states for those that might not be familiar with it.) I think the temperature is set at about 40. If that doesn't work I can spend some time with my head in my freezer which is at 0. So please don't ban me.

it is still dangerously cold here. because of the temps here being so bad for the past week now, it's dragging on the electrical tower or whatever you call it. so for the first time in my lifetime...rather than wait for a full blown power outage they began rolling blackouts here today. they will create a full blackout for individual grids/neighborhoods for 30-60 at a time over the next couple days. i have no specifics if it's for once a day or what time of day. they have asked us to unplug appliances we're not using and turn off lights we don't need and turn the heat down to 65-68. it's 30 effing below. i'm gone all day. there's no way i'm freezing my tits off all night. everything else is off 74 is the best i can do because it is so cold here.

several of us can't start our cars and have had to call and request rides to work. it's awful.

Marci, do you have any idea where you get most of your electricity from? (oil, wond, ?) I am hearing that a lot of the pronlem in some areas is because the wind turbines just don't work in really cold weather. When I lived ion New Hampshire it was always below 0 and we never had that problem. Just curious.
