I said to my kids when they were teenagers, and they were hinting after gifts/money instead, that when they were too old for chocolate eggs, just tell us, and we will stop buying them.
Guess what.....
We always buy them one special chocolate egg, and one ordinary one, like a kit kat or similar.

well, that's one way to tell them about the easter bunny..

We don't do the easter bunny in the uk. It's known about, and we have chocolate bunnies, but that's about it.
We used to have a local confectionary shop which sold beautifully decorated giant chocolate eggs filled with assorted chocolate confections. They came in various sizes. I can't remember the weight of their largest offering. The one I bought my parents years ago was filled with 5 pounds of confections and cost about $75.
I can't find a picture of one on the web. I wonder if I have one around here...
I've been acquiring a bit of Easter chocolate here and there, but I don't do Easter baskets for the kids anymore. Keeps us from taking in too much sugar - and milk, too.
I did get extra DVDs last fall while I was shopping for Christmas gifts (saved on shipping costs), so we have two movies that will be new for Easter. I don't usually buy gifts for this holiday, but it seemed like the right thing, especially since one is a musical about Jesus.
I'll probably go to church for a Good Friday service. I think I'll be able to find an online Passover service as well from a Messianic congregation. Very cool!
My youngest daughter was very cutesy when little. I was wondering about her reaction to her chocolate rabbit when she was 3, as she loved her miniature lop eared rabbit. My kids had one each, well that was the original plan.
Anyway she took one look at it, "Awwwwww" then bit it's face off.
